Is he good enough to stay on the roster next year. I think he is fine as #3 or #4. Experience is needed and he can step in, if only as a decoy. Cheap.

His play has improved. Took a nasty hit today.

No.

That being said, he'll probably start for us if Kennison hangs it up.

Samie isn't great, but he's better than Jeff Webb. He could become a very good slot receiver. If he'll sign cheap, I'm all for retaining him.

If he is cheap he can stay as the 3rd or 4th. If he wants too much money or thinks he is a starter he can go.

I say we plan on keeping him, he did OK this year, but you have to let him know that his job is in jeopardy.

Then again, if there is someone better out there for cheap, go get it.

Our receiver position is still far from good, but it is a lot better than last year.

What round do you guys think Jordy Nelson is going to go in? I know he is big, times well and has great hands but I think he's a bit of a long strider and doesn't explode in and out of his cuts. I think he's a perfect slot receiver or even a number two due to injury. I like him a lot in the 3rd and I love him in the 4th. Some of the KSU homers thinks he's a 1st round pick but I don't see it.

Samie's still a better receiver than Webb.

Webb's such a non-factor.
He rarely makes plays that count for anything.

Parker's a fine 3rd WR.

RATHER STRANGE

player/games/receptions/yards/tds

Webb....15....24....264....0

Parker...14....22....275....2

The depth chart as of today shows Webb as the starter and Parker as his back up. Webb's stats are lower than Parker's while assuming he's had more playing time. Drummon is listed as Bowe's back up, so Samie is most likely backing up both.

That' just sad

...and Sammie does? He's had a few years to make some sort of a splash but hasnt, this is the 1st year Webb gets some playing time and hes made some decent catches. So i ask again...how is he better?

Eddie has only played in 8 games this year
and a couple of those didn't last a h alf
Webb starting 7 games has the stats in post 16

I dont recall Webb starting that many games. :hmmm:

To my knowledge once Eddie came back, Sammie n Jeff shared #3. The only plus i see with Sammie is his speed, imo Jeff has already caught him in terms of recieving and surpassed him considerably in blocking, now im not saying Jeff is Jerry Rice PT II but i think he's a better prospect that sammie in less than half the time in the league.

I stand corrected

According to Sportsline. Samie started 7 games(Bowe didn't start at the begining of the season) Webb has only started 1

Its all good. I didnt think he started that many games.

Anyways, i think Jeff would be a good slot if not future starter but i am a Texas homer and Limas Sweed would look pretty good in red. I wonder where he'll fall with concerns over his injury (wrist). If he falls to 3(ish) he might be worth it imo. Just a thought. :hmmm:

The starter was non-existant
And I saw more of Webb than Parker
everything below Bowe is just fodder

True but Sammie was virtually non existent as a starter but got some chances in the slot due to our propensity for the short slants.
