BUFFALO, NEW YORK (TICKER) -- Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett has been able to walk independently, according to a report.
Buffalo television station WIVB-TV is citing anonymous sources in reporting that Everett, who suffered a severe neck injury in the 2007 season opener against the Denver Broncos, has been able to walk without assistance as he continues his recovery in a Houston hospital.
Doctors initially thought that Everett would almost certainly be paralyzed, and said the injury had been life-threatening.
