BUFFALO, NEW YORK (TICKER) -- Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett has been able to walk independently, according to a report.

Buffalo television station WIVB-TV is citing anonymous sources in reporting that Everett, who suffered a severe neck injury in the 2007 season opener against the Denver Broncos, has been able to walk without assistance as he continues his recovery in a Houston hospital.

Doctors initially thought that Everett would almost certainly be paralyzed, and said the injury had been life-threatening.

The miracle of modern medicine. It is amazing that he has come back so quick from such a bad injury. :toast:

Prayers and thoughts are still with him and family. Hoping for as much of a normal life as possible.

Didn't he try to kick a cop in court?

That is great news! I hope his recovery gets as much air time as the original injury did. (I know there is no chance but a man can dream)
