I thought Gabbert was that QB who committed to Nebraska?

Yep, but he also opened up his recruitment after the implosion of the Nebraska program.

Don't be surprised if Gabbert and Compton commit to Mizzou by the end of the week.

QB Dalton commits to MU early

By Graham Watson/St. Louis Post-Dispatch (MCT)

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Missouri's 41-10 win over Texas Tech impressed one member of the crowd of 63,396 at Faurot Field a little more than the rest.

Blue Springs South quarterback Blaine Dalton, one of the top juniors in the nation, committed to the Tigers in the Missouri locker room after the game.

"I talked to coach (Andy) Hill, and I told him I was ready to commit," Dalton told PowerMizzou.com. "He asked me if I was kidding, and I said no ... it's something that has just been on my mind for a while."

Dalton is expected to be the No. 1 player in the state for the class of 2009 and has already appeared on Rivals.com 100 To Watch national list for 2009.

Dalton, who led Blue Springs South to a state championship last year and has his team undefeated again this season, is the only quarterback committed to Missouri for either the 2008 or 2009 class.

Fun Fact:

If Dalton is named an Elite 11 QB this summer (really no reason to think he won't be at this point) and Gabbert commits to MU as rumored, Mizzou will have four Elite 11 QBs on next year's roster.

That is sick.
