Has anyone ever stopped and thought about where this team might be if Trent Green were still the QB here?? 4-3 still, better or worse?

Just thought id throw that one out there for some healthy debate.

My vote is for worse. Trent Green was terrible last season. His passes had no zip but he kept playing like they did.

We would not be 4-3. Green was throwing it up for grabs consistently in Miami this year, and his arm looked awful.

Geathers aged Green 3 years.

Your probably right.

I know this may be a sin around here, but Trent was a bad fit for Herm. Trent liked to force passes downfield, and was his own worst enemy at times. But thats just the way he was trained by playing in that offense for so long.

I'd say about the same, and I would still be b*tching about obtaining a QB that should be playing in the NFL or to give Croyle a chance in a REAL game with starters.

Maybe i should have titled this thread:

How would this team look with 2002 Trent at the helm??

Plus, I can't EVER recall seeing Trent throw a beautiful bomb like Huard did today. Especially on an ad-lib play.

That's BS and you know it. Trent before he had his noodle knocked loose was one of the most accurate passers in the league, and clearly had more power and touch behind his throws.

No, a beautiful bomb would have hit Bowe in stride, instead of Bowe having to wait on it and being tackled.

We got into the EZ, so it worked out.

But beautiful?

Sure...I can't remember a bomb like that though off an ad-lib.

One im thinking of was against Denver 2 or 3 years ago??

He got hit in the arm as he released.....it was a TD catch.

I don't remember that at all, and I have a photographic memory for these things.

It was clear last year that Green's best days were behind him. Time to move on. But not with Huard.

if he hadn't been forced to scramble he would have dumped his check down to someone's feet behind the line of scrimmage.

A hald decent defender would have scarfed that wobbly quail away from Bowe. Hardly a thing of beauty.

2003. Against Denver when we were both undefeated. It was a pass to Gonzalez in the endzone.

How about the "AD-Lib" play yesterday when Huard Backfoot Heaved and Chucked the interception in or near the endzone?

Nope. Not even close to the same kind of play. Trent threw that ball off his back foot.
