I'm sure our blocking sucks,but IMHO, I feel he doesn't read our blocking ( what we have ) vewry well .

Does anybody else feel this ? IMHO, he isn't getting the job done.

I think people got spoiled by Dante's success. Not every team can have a Hester or Dante Hall. Thats what makes them special.

I call "Real" BS. At the last game at Arrowhead he had two kickoffs right in front of me. I saw the wedge open up a hole for him to run straight thru and he headed to the sidelines.

imo a big part of the problem is the blocking scheme.

watch during a punt ...... we commit way too many guys to block the kick. So many guys are rushing the punter that they aren't in position to block anybody.

how many chiefs players just end up running down the field chasing defenders and never end up blocking anyone??

that's why we see 5 guy around Drummond with only 1 chief blocking.

imo we to take a different approach.....

i would put a bunch of offense lineman out there .... like 6 of them. They are used to occupying guys and will have the advantage of getting first shot

1 returner
1 gunner blocker left
1 gunner blocker right
6 lineman
2 punt rushers (pollard and ???)

At the snap of the ball the 6 offense lineman engage and trap as many of the punt team guys as they can while the 2 rushers can line up and go after the punter from whichever angle/position they see as being best.

that should leave drummond against the gunners


should give us a much better chance at a good return imo.

Outside of 1 return, Carr didn't get any better blocking than Drummond did yesterday, but every return, Carr gets the ball and SPRINTS UPFIELD.

When's the last time Eddie did that?

Most of his returns he looks like he's running in place.

And I agree with what ChiefsCountry and BRC have said:

That he's missing wide open lanes when he has them. I sit in the UL EZ and the blocking isn't that bad at all, he's just missing some huge opportunities.

Yeah that was pissing me off.. He even stated before the season that he was not a Dante type and just a north to south runner.. If he followed through on his promise his averages would be 5 yards higher..
