Instead of saying:

"O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?"

The woman singing the national anthem just said:

"For the land which we watched, were so gallantly streaming."

Ridiculous. :cuss: Citizenship revoked.

By comparison, the entire Wembeley Stadium crowd is singing "God Save The Queen" along with the singer.

I liked Tom Coughlin's "Wow, it's like she's kicking me in the balls" face.

Are you ****ing kidding me? Jesus Christ, is it too much to ask to double check that the person singing it ACTUALLY KNOWS THE WORDS? Nice going NFL.

Maybe next year when the Chiefs play in Germany they can wear swastikas on their jerseys. Then Herm can just say "Oh, I forgot you all aren't Nazi's anymore".

Maybe it was a politically correct cultural nod to the British people whose ancestors may have died upon those ramparts.

For those that can see it, how crowded is this game?

I'm sure the lower decks are filled with sponsors friends and families but how but the nose bleed seats where people have to want to be there?

They claim that they could have sold it out 8 times over, but I call BS. It looks like a total disaster to me. The field is a mess. The game is a mess. The broadcast is horrible. Idiot fans are blowing whistles non stop which is screwing with the players. If I was English, and this was my first exposure to American football, I wouldn't be interested at all.

It's completely second rate.

Good, I'm hoping this doesn't catch on.

The NFL's first overseas regular season game in London could have sold out the 90,000-seat Wembley Stadium 10 times over, officials said on Tuesday about the league's launch into international scheduling.

Three days after the NFL announced in February that the New York Giants would play the Miami Dolphins on Oct. 28 in London, requests for more than half a million tickets were received, the league said.

..

"So far the requests have been 86 percent from Britain, 14 percent of that from London and the southeast. It is a true national experience, a very diverse group," he said about the response.

Kirkwood added that 2.5 percent of ticket requests had come from Germany, 2 percent from Denmark and other requests came from as far away as Australia and Argentina.

...

For those lucky enough to get a ticket, the game won't be cheap. Prices range from about £66.50 to £133, using a pricing structure similar to this weekend's FA Cup final between Manchester United and Chelsea.

That means they got half a million ticket requests with the prices starting at >$120

The thing I can't get over is the broadcast booth. When they do shots of them, it looks like the broadcast team should be warming their hands around a trash can fire or something. No backdrop, hardly any lighting. Maybe they're just trying to get across the London atmosphere to the viewers, I don't know.

If you adjust the color a little darker, you can kind of pretend that the Bears are the Chiefs.
