View Full Version : Huard is underappreciated

I've noticed that here.

People here bash him. Why?

The guy ain't the most talented QB, but have you noticed he's stepped up and took charge when he's had to? And that counts more than anything? Not the stats. He has held things together and kept this offense from caving in.

I give him credit he has taken chicken crap and made chicken salad. Making the most out of his opportunities. When you're offensive line is this bad and you're still making plays to help your team win games that is something you want out of your QB. But I didn't expect that out of Huard. He's made plays under pressure. That's a good sign. You guys should appreciate that.

He has some mental toughness in him, and I think is a bit of a leader. I see it in the games.

Im sure we all know Huard isn't the guy who we are going to depend on to win games for us? But he has chipped in with his share. Combine that with a good defense, and we have something. I think he's played a good role on this team.

I know Croyle is being looked upon as the QBOTF, but Huard is solid.

Back to the basics. The `O` line has a lot to do with his success or failure. If nobody can see that or refuses to admit that; It's just ignorant to me. Time to take off the Superman underoos.

Hes not awful, that much is clear.

But he doesnt score points and get his team into the endzone either. Thats a QB's main job.

Obviously, Carl and Herm think differently, so it doesnt matter what we think.

Who does he think he is? That coach has tangled with the wrong man! No one says "no" to Damon!

Heh heh. Darn right.

Dismissed! Rejected! Publicly Humiliated! Why, it's more than I can bear.

More beer?

What for? Nothing helps. I'm disgraced.

Who, you? Never! Damon, you've got to pull yourself together.

Gosh it disturbs me to see you, Damon
Looking so down in the dumps
Every guy here'd love to be you, Damon
Even when taking your lumps
There's no man in town as admired as you
You're everyone's favorite guy
Everyone's awed and inspired by you
And it's not very hard to see whyyyyyyyyyyyy

No one's slick as Damon
No one's quick as Damon
No one's neck's as incredibly thick as Damon's

For there's no man in town half as manly
Perfect, a pure paragon!
You can ask any Tom, Dick or Stanley
And they'll tell you whose team they prefer to be on

No one's been like Damon
A king pin like Damon

No one's got a swell cleft in his chin like Damon!

As a specimen, yes, I'm intimidating!

My what a guy, that Damon
Give five "hurrahs!"
Give twelve "hip-hips!"

Damon is the best
And the rest is all drips

No one fights like Damon
Douses lights like Damon

In a wrestling match nobody bites like Damon!

For there's no one as burly and brawny

As you see I've got biceps to spare

Not a bit of him's scraggly or scrawny

That's right!
And every last inch of me's covered with hair

No one hits like Damon

Matches wits like Damon

In a spitting match nobody spits like Damon!

I'm especially good at expectorating!
Ptoooie!

Ten points for Damon

When I was a lad I ate four dozen eggs
Every morning to help me get large
And now that I'm grown I eat five dozen eggs
So I'm roughly the size of a barge!

No one shoots like Damon
Makes those beauts like Damon

Then goes tromping around wearing boots like Damon

I use antlers in all of my decorating!

Say it again
Who's a man among men?
And then say it once more
Who's the hero next door?
Who's a super success?
Don't you know? Can't you guess?
Ask his fans and his five hangers-on
There's just one guy in town who's got all of it down

And his name's D-A-M...
D-A-M-I...
D-A-M-O-

oh!

DAMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

That was my stance at the beginning of the year, but our O-line has been pass blocking better than I expected, and the receivers arent dropping passes like I expected so I think its a good time to bring Croyle in.

They WERE pass blocking better. The last few weeks have been AWFUL. We're among the worst teams in the league in sacks per pass attempt, and that's even with Damon getting rid of the ball quickly.

Reerun_KC
10-29-2007, 11:53 AM
He isn't a threat to go down field. Dumps off before he makes his reads... Will throw to LJ in the flats while covered vs throw to a wide open HOF TE in the end zone.

Folds like a cheap lawn chair, very limited mobility, super soaker for an arm and zero down field accuracy.

I cant see why anyone would be thrilled that he is behind center?

He certainly takes a lot of the fun out of the game day experience that is for sure...

Croyle cant hurt this offense anymore than Huard already is... At least Croyle has upside and youth on his side.

I'm not a Huard advocate, but noodle arms don't throw 60yrd(Through the air) passes. Huards arm is not the problem. he only makes one read and then dumps. If anyone has proof otherwise, I'm open to correction.

10-29-2007, 02:50 PM
With an unhealing hole in the O-Line, it's tough to make the first read. Huard had to fight and get out of the pocket to heave to D-Bowe last game.

Bringing Croyle into the fire will only burn him. Let Huard get beaten up, so the O-Line and O-Line Coach can finally make necessary adjustments.

Croyle's time will come, soon enough.

You think we don't want to see the Chiefs win a Super Bowl?

Just because we'd rather see the more capable QB in the game that can lead us to wins rather than meltdowns doesn't mean we don't want to see success for the franchise.

What a ridiculous correlation. Croyle playing this year doesn't suddenly mean we are better than the Patriots next year, or the year after.

Man how many times do I have to go over this crap?

Huard has only thrown five interceptions this year. Two of them are credited to Jeff Webb and Dwayne Bowe.

Of the five legit picks for which HUARD can be blamed, two came in garbage time - at the end of the Jacksonville game, another at the end of the Houston game.

The other three interceptions - San Diego, Chicago, Oakland - were costly. But that's three costly turnovers in seven games. That is completely acceptable.

If you want to throw in his fumble against Minnesota, please go right ahead. That's four costly turnovers. But the bottom line is that Huard is not making too many mistakes. Croyle has proven he has an elite ability to do that.

It was the wind, The OL, Solari, Herm, Bigfoot, Webb and Bill Belichick's fault that Damon has more INT's than TD's.

Haven't you been paying attention, Fish?

These guys were crucifying Croyle for averaging an INT per game in the PS, while playing behind the second string line and 3rd string WR's, but when the shoe is on the other foot, look out.

We've beaten three 2-5 teams.
