Ok so there is a house being built next door to us, and on the weekend we discovered that there is in fact somebody already living there. A black floppy eared rabbit (most likely not its technical name). Its clear that he once was a pet as there are nor many = black rabbits around Australia and he/she’s friendly enough to let you go a couple of meters away from him/her before he/she hops away. Anyways I would very much like to catch him ALIVE before he gets run over or killed by machinery or angry aussie workers. So dose anybody have any ideas keeping in mind that I want him/her ALIVE, as well as the fact that he is fast enough to run away from me and that the block is pretty big. So if anyone can come up with an idea I would be grateful…

Cheers.

I've always found a bow and arrow challenging but adequate.

Or, for those not mechanically inclined enough to build one. (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=9646)

One question, is it a “stew’n wabbit” or a “fricassee’n wabbit”. ;)

When one of my cats got out a few years ago, I used similar device to trap it. We were able to borrow one from local Animal Control authorities - perhaps you should check with them if you have such an agency down there.
