in all honesty. I think if priest can come back and play like the preist of old, his running style suits our OL much better than johnsons one cut running style.

Man o man how I miss that offense. I know it didn't win us any playoff games, but the games were atleast fun to watch...this year, there have only be two games that have been fun to watch, chargers and bengals...all the others have been nailbiters or losses

Well, we could start with the person from whom John Williams ripped all his material off of, with say Gustav Holst. We could talk about Duke Ellington, Stravisnky, any number of people who don't steal their works straight from The Planets.

which is exactly what this offense needs. LJ has all the physical aspects that you look for....but doesnt have priest holmes field of vision. LJ is down hill runner. That is quite possibly the worst aspect of our OL...the downhill running style just doesnt suit it. Its to difficult. Instead we need someone who can find holes instead of running into a brick wall.

I agree. LJ has gotten better about being patient, but he doesn't have the quickness to the hole priest has, and I think it will be beneficial. Priest sees it before it happens and is hitting the holes as it happens. It is absolutely stunning to watch.

Not a film score.
I was unaware that only film writers qualified as Composers. But fine. Leonard Bernstein is 100000000x the musical/film composer John Williams was or will ever be.

which is why i think our offense this year will actually "improve" with priest holmes in the backfield. I think priest was right when he said that he makes the ppl around him look better. He, unlike LJ, finds the holes. Hes an elusive style of runner. I think priest is dead on in his Q-A when he says that LJ needs to add more to his running style.

You're making LJ out to be a complete moron with these posts...he's not on Priest's level, I agree. But when there's a hole, he finds it.

Considering there aren't many holes to begin with this year, I doubt Priest's vision is going to help all that much.

Lets be honest..LJ is a moron... Rapping bad about KC? rumored to be the least liked player in the Chiefs locker room? pouting out on the field costing us yards all because things arent going so well for LJ... Its bullshit..Look..what LJ did in 05 was amazing.. but then again, the 2005 OL was amazing. That OL (unlike this one) suited LJs style of running, and they both complimented one another wonderfully. But, there is alot LJ needs to improve on in order to become a complete back. His blocking, recieveing, field of vision can all be improved upon. Hopefully he takes this time that he has off to do just that.

But Mostly, just listen to the Planets and I'd guarantee that 75% of John Williams works can be traced back to it.

The 2005 OL was good, but not great. Priest struggled behind it. And last year our line sucked.

I don't want to hear this crap again until Priest actually DOES SOMETHING this year. So far he has 19 yards on 9 touches. AMAZING.

No one would argue against that.

BTW, Horner is self-derivative, which is even worse IMO.

Anyway, the point is, that song doesn't suck. :shake:

You're right, it was stolen. Christ.

Imperial March anyone? Actually pretty much half his Star Wars soundtrack came from this song alone.

I usually don't like getting in to arguments about sports, because its too subjective, but if you really think Priest is going to be the Priest of '02-'04, he's not...not even close. Our O-line today is no where near it was in the past. Our pull blocking, run screens, downfield blocking etc. is atrocious this year. No one seems to be able to get to the outside and lay some blocks downfield. Those are the kinds of things Priest desperately needs to be a good running back. He is absolutely stunning in the open field, but he has to be able to get there first. It's not going to happen this year, our O-line is just not capable of making those kinds of plays, or atleast they have yet to show they are. Don't get me wrong, I want nothing more than to see Priest succeed, it just doesn't look good under this current Offense.
