Q: Any update on Dwayne Bowe?

HERM EDWARDS: “Fine. He practiced all week. He’s in good shape.

Q: What about some of your other injured guys?

EDWARDS: “McIntosh will play. Fox will. Kennison will. Dunn will.”

Q: With Larry Johnson out over a week and Kennison, Dunn back and others too do they feel more comfortable? Kolby Smith, too

EDWARDS: “Yeah, it’s not like they’re new. They’ve been here so it’s nothing new. They’re just going to play more, like Kolby, as far as offense. He’s going to get an opportunity to carry the ball some.”

Q: How comfortable are you with those two running backs?

EDWARDS: “You’re comfortable with it because you know their strengths. You’ve got to play to their strengths. That’s why you always want guys either on your team who are backup guys who have a role or practice squad players who have been in your program, rather than trying to bring a guy in. That guy has to learn your offense. These guys have practicing every day; they’ve practiced with our offense. Kolby’s been here since the beginning of the spring; Priest since training camp. They’re both familiar with what we do well.”

Q: Do you know what Priest he can still do?

EDWARDS: “It’ll all be determined by how many times he touches the ball. No one knows what that number is and no one knows after he touches it how he’s going to recover next week. That’s the whole key; that’s the unknown.”

Q: How do you determine the number of touches?

EDWARDS: “We have a certain number but I don’t want to say what it is. We have a certain number in mind and a certain number for Kolby.”

Q: But you’re ready to adjust?

EDWARDS: “Yeah, no doubt. You have to adjust there is no doubt about that.”

Q: Anything more on Larry Johnson?

EDWARDS: “No, and he’s not playing.”
