You all have mentioned this at one time or another, but, this bares repeating; Larry Johnson's presence as a ground attack threat forced opposing defenses to commit up to 8-in-the-box. In the first half of each game Solari stubbornly stuck to a strategy of establishing the run. Defenses found themselves stuck in that mind-set because when the Chiefs' offense retook the field in the second half and opened up their game plan, Huard enjoyed appreciable success through the air. So, though it's been slow in developing, the strategy has been successful. Imagine what might have been if we had both the #1 and #2 recievers plus TG on the field at the same time. But we were hamstrung, literally!

Now with LJ out, the strategy must change. But, I bet it is NOT more of the same. Priest and Kolby don't pose the same threat, but we do have the #1 and #2 receivers, plus TG back on the field all together. The second half of the season should be very interesting.
