Didn't see this posted, but since it has apparently been somewhat in the news since August, I guess it's possible that I might have missed it.
From an ESPN article on his pending drug suspension.

Henry has made other news off the field, too. In August, court documents in a Georgia child support case revealed that Henry, 28, has fathered nine children by nine women in four southern states and has been ordered to pay child support for seven of them. He also had to borrow money from the Titans to fulfill one of those judgments, according to court records.
Henry has preferred to keep his focus on the field, but he's been unable to get carries consistently because of his health. He's going to get an MRI this week on his swollen left knee.
Are you freaking kidding me??????????? I can't help but picture him running around the south like Johnny Appleseed. Why are they all in the south? What's he got against the girls up north near Buffalo? I'm just saying, he played there for 4 years. Any more kids out there Travis? Oh wait, this could be like a state class action lawsuit. First the southeast girls come forward and then the northeast girls will see how much they got and then their attorney's will come after him. Good strategy.
If I were him, I think I'd like to keep my focus on the field too.
He has 9 kids by 10 women, actually.

Who the f*ck are you to pass judgment on others?
He's a multi-millionaire and if he's managing his money properly, all of his children regardless of the mother will be provided for far beyond the normal American child.
Besides that, it's really none of you g*damn business.

You are clearly advocating for immoral values, Dane. Its America's business. This kind of behavior is sinking our moral fiber.

Pretty dispicable, I'd agree if true. 9 kids by 10 women. Buying gold instead of taking care of the children? Most of us would find that morally reprehinsible.
You have a right to your opinion. So does Mr. Henry. Free will and choice is the foundation of any christian based religion. Are you not suppose to willingly come to God?
No one has a right to force their version of morality on others. Personal choices and morality can't be legislated. It's not America's business.

Here's some of it:
The Atlanta Journal Constitution this summer reported that Henry, the career rushing leader at the University of Tennessee and Mr. Florida Football in high school, has fathered nine children, all out of wedlock, by nine different women. His children live in at least four Southern states.
And though this year the former Pro Bowl selection signed a five-year, $22.5 million deal, he tends to go broke. That doesn't bode well for the immediate or long-term futures of his nine children or their nine different mothers. Henry has been ordered by several courts on several occasions to pay support for at least seven of his children, one with costly medical needs.
In August, according to DeKalb County (Ga.) court records of a child-support hearing for a 3-year-old son, Henry was scolded by the judge for "his spending habits." Henry, the court learned, spent $100,000 on a car and $146,000 on jewelry.

Man that guy has got to start double wrappin it. Can you imagine what percentage the guys in the NFL that have herpes? Probably at least half. I can't really blame these guys, when you are young, rich, and a man in power it's hard to turn down pussy when it's given to you on a regular basis. I bet half of these women even tried to get pregnant. It would be a business move, because they know he has alot of money. I think the raising of a child should be a joint choice by the father and the mother. If the father does not wish to support his young, it should go up for adoption. If the mother does not wish to support her young it should go for adoption. How come it's always the woman's choice if she keeps the kid or not. The guy has absolutely no say in it.

DT had like 7 kids with 5 women as I recall...apparently he was very good about being there for all of them, but when he passed away there was disputes over who should get what etc...
...that was ridiculous. Travis Henry's situation is ridiculous and irresponsible, just like Derrick Thomas. I don't know about Travis Henry, but DT was supposedly very active with his kids and paid child support etc...just didn't plan his will very well I guess.
...meh. Rich, successful athletes surrounded by women who would let them stick 'em in any place they want...it's bound to happen. I'm just shocked that these guys did not learn their lesson after the first, maybe the second kid...

My opinion of DT doesn't change. I thought he was an incredible Chief who did good in the community. In the ladie's community, he obviously did very well. The sad part is that because of the way he conducted himself off the field with the women, he tarnished his image. Remember the talk when he died about selling his belongings to provide for his children? Sad. Very sad.
