Thats one of the special moments that I remember from the Vermeil era. When the game was over and the players are milling around out on the field that crowd started chanting 9 and 0, 9 and 0.

We thought that was the year. We had no idea we wouldn't be able to stop a team from scoring in the playoffs, not even once. Not one dam punt.:banghead:

If we would have just stopped them once, we would have won the Super Bowl. :harumph:

Should be a good game but I still wouldn't touch that 14.5 spread either way. It's also too bad they don't play the Steelers in Pitt.

It's not a dome so the Steelers couldn't use the 13th man against the Pats anyway. :p

Twice in the last month or so. Brady and then the Pats LB corps.

Like Dallas AT Dallas and Indy AT Indy isn't enough of a challenge. We can't play ALL our games on the road. :D

Yeah, the MGM Grand sportsbook in Vegas

What was the specific bet (presumably Pats don't go undefeated) and what odds did you get, if I may ask?

If I remember right, the line was around -450 or so at the Las Vegas Hilton the when we were out there.

How much did you put down on that Joe?

you mean like 52-7 Was(5-4) or 49-28 Mia (0-9) or 48-27 Dal (8-1) or 34-17 Cle (5-4) or 34-13 Cin (3-6)?

If we would have just stopped them once, we would have won the Super Bowl.

Or if Holmes wouldn't have fumbled giving them 1 extra posession more than we had...since we didn't punt either.

exactly and the Rick Mirer lead raiders where we needed a last second field goal. They were 9-0 but it was clear their defense wasn't stopping anyone when it came crunch time

Damn margaritas I missed that at the Hilton and got -300 at the MGM,put a mere $170 on it so I only stand to win $56 or so but it'd still be nice to get that and the $170 back.

I did however put $50 on the Pats -3 1/2 over Indy.

And the mrs well she's sending almost $300 in winning tickets in,woman hit almost every game she bet on.

I hope New England does go undefeated. I'm tired of seeing the Jackasses from Miami get together every year to toast the last undefeated team losing. I hope they don't get to toast this year. Douchebags.

That's why I'm all good if my bet doesn't come through,it'd be worth the loss of money to see it happen at a time in my life when can I appreciate it.

That SI cover makes me sad. God, that was such a fun year for sports in KC. Especially if you're a Jayhawk fan!

Too bad the Royals, Chiefs, and Hawks came crashing down in the end. But, damn, the ride was sure fun.
