Let the trash talk continue. I have no dog in this fight and thought it was only fair to let a neutral observer start the thread.

I know it's early, but do we really need 500 threads this week that have the same people saying the same things?
Let's keep it clean and not get personal.

They barely beat teams like Colorado and K-State. Mizzou beat Colorado by 45 points and K-State by 17 points.

After watching MU's lack luster 1st half, I feel alot better about next weeks game. MU has had several games this year where they have been sloppy, failure to catch passes, poor ST's play, or turnovers. KSU held close , but a good team would have made MU pay a price.

That 1st half today , MU was lucky. A gift fumble on KSU's 1st series, a Maclin ST's return, 2 KSU's inability to block on PAT's., a block punt .... etc.

This MU-KU game is going to be a very close contest. If MU plays as they did today, KU will roll away with it.

I said , If, OK, keep your Tigger tampons on, OK.

A NU, OU, KU and MIZZOU fan were climbing a mountain one day. Each proclaimed to be the most loyal of all fans of their football team. As they climbed higher, they argued as to which one of them was the most loyal of all. They continued to argue all the way up the mountain, and finally they reached the top. The NU fan shouted, "This is for the Huskers!" and hurled himself off the mountain, shouting as he fell to his doom. Not wanting to be out done, the OU fan threw himself off the mountain, proclaiming "Boomer Sooners!" Seeing this, the KU fan walked over and exclaimed, "This is for everyone!"... and pushed the MUron fan off of the mountain.

Both of you are sad, pathetic bitches - embarrassments to KU, the Chiefs and the BB in general. I know you think you're clever and funny, but you aren't. Other KU fans don't like you. I know you keep sending me rep comments saying how much fun you're having and wanting to be my secret pal and all, but it's a spoiled child's fun in an adult world. I don't like you, I don't think you're cool, or witty, or anything but an annoying troll. So you're all butthurt that I won't engage you in banter? So's the homeless scumbag who thinks I suck because I walk past without stopping and won't give him a quarter. You both have the same significance in life, and neither of you is worth my time.

There's nothing left to say about this game that hasn't already been said for months, because we've all seen it coming. I'm weary of the little girl antics from you and your ilk, as are others, MU and KU fans alike. Enough. Truth is, you are a sad pathetic overweight negative turd. Your only joy comes from attempting to berate others. You reek of hate and negativity. This is what the rivalry does to you? Makes you a complete humorless POS.

You dish shit out all season long, then act like its other people who start the shit. You are hateful and shitty.

I think its funny how unhappy you portray yourself. In fact, this season is gravy to us. We didn't expect it, but we took joy away from you all year long, so I'm happy then. Just because you are a ****head about it. Your comments and Cochise where the true inspiration for my douchebaggery.

Its obvious, you dish it out, but can't take it. Me, I think its funny... no KU fans like me at all, yet 15 different people have recently repped me otherwise. Besides, Chiefsplanet isn't my outlet for popularity, so I could care less if you MUrons dislike me... in fact, its sort of the point.

I understand you are sick of it... but your dumbass started it. Your hate and evil spewing will only last 7 more days. Then your fat negative mouth will have to shut up... or whine about the Refs, which is what I expect.

Aww, poor little fAirY chi3fs is all butthurt now, can't think of anything but to call mean ol frazod fat. There is just an endless amount of your anonymous little queers who lash out at those of us who go to gatherings and are part of the community and dare not to be anonymous. I'm sure many of us will get together before the game, and you won't be there.

And I didn't start anything - this all stems from you being pissed about the Cardinals winning the World Series last year, and how you just can't even wrap your bitter, envious little mind around the idea that another Missouri team will win it all again and leave your loser ass out in the cold, again, as usual. You were a bitter little **** then, and you are a bitter little **** now.

God, it must be embarrassing to be you - I figure the only thing that stops you from killing yourself is that your too much of a puss to actually do it.

REMEMBER THIS TROPHY? I'll bet you cried like a little bitch all night long while I was drinking champagne.

I don't think that is possible. Mizzou is already ahead of OSU in the polls and the BCS and OSU has no games remaining. If MU beat two more ranked teams, they would only get further ahead of OSU.

Each and every game I see KU play I respect them more and more because they are just dominating every team they are playing.

Only problem is that they really dodged some teams this season and their non conference schedule was terrible. But MU's wasn't all that much better and Florida's non conference schedule last season was awful too and no one complained about it. Regardless who wins it's been a great season for both programs and are seasons they can build with to be a top 15 team for seasons to come.

Having that said
MU - 41
KU - 24

If you are referring to the AP voters, who cares? They have ZERO impact on who is in the BCS championship. All they can do is cast their vote, and if the BCS doesn't take the teams they think should be there, then they declare their own fraud champion. Ever since they pulled their poll from the BCS, they have absolutely no credibility in my opinion. Once the BCS standings come out, I dont even look at their farce standings.

If you have 3 teams in the top 6 it looks like your conference is really strong. But if you consider that none of the top 3 teams in the Big 12 play the top teams from other conferences, it is hard to know just how good they are. Once OU's elite status is called into question, it calls into question the strength of the whole conference including the other two highly rated teams. If Kansas stays undefeated, no one will pass them, but Missouri winning out won't look that impressive against a Kansas team that has played such a soft schedule and (what would be) a 3-loss OU team.

Lzen

They barely beat teams like Colorado and K-State. Mizzou beat Colorado by 45 points and K-State by 17 points.

Missouri has not scored less than 31 points this year and not less than 38 points in a win. KU cannot possibly stop MU's offense. Nobody can.

It took years for this kind of parity to set into basketball... it's almost hit all at once for football.

Just in the last few years, the argument is always "which of these great teams deserve to be in the NC more?"... and we had a year with 3 undefeated teams.

This year is the opposite... it's almost "who sucks the least?". Really... the #2 and #4 teams lose one player and completely fall apart. Michigan/App State, USC/Stanford, Alabama/La-Monroe. Admit it or not, the new #2 and #3 next week will be there in large part because of all the upsets, not because of SoS or whatever.

Whatever happens, I'm just glad Kansas is part of it. The worst that can happen is 11-1!!

Yes, I did. Mecca already had me going. Mecca is just so glad there wont be 3 big 12 teams in the top 5 this week. Wow, our conference must really suck now. I guess its a good thing we didnt have USC's schedule. We would be lucky to win enough games to be bowl eligible then.

Played well and deserved to win? Absolutely.

Dominated? No way.
We were up 19-0 in the Texas A&M game in the 4th quarter. They never had a chance after that.

We controlled the game in Colorado, and should have been up by a few scores.

The K-State game was the only testy one, but we had so many opportunities that game to score TDs that came up in failure. We were the far superior team that day, the score wasn't representative of that.

Yeah, like I said. Played well and deserved to win--no domination. IIRC, the Buffs had the ball at the end only down by 5 points. The game at KState was nip and tuck all the way.

KU was certainly dominant today.

I'm glad it was sarcasm, because the only other explanation was crack.

Did you watch LSU today?

They were horrible. How can you say they are on a different level?

I didn't watch them today, but I know they've slept walked through a few games this year. Unfortunately, sleep walking is 41-24 or the 34-9 against Tulane.

I'm not much for how this team looked against this team, comparing it to common opponents, etc.
1) Based on what I've watched, and their best, LSU is better than any other team I've seen at their best (well, the best I've seen other teams, anyway).
2) Any team can beat any other team on any random day.

Given #2, I wouldn't say they are on a completely different level, but at the same time, if LSU wins out, they deserve a spot in the NC game... despite all of the Mecca hate, the SEC is the best conference in the nation, and a one-loss season is pretty impressive.

Due to the two OUs losing this weekend, there aren't two other teams I'd put ahead of LSU. MU or KU will be out of it, Ohio State isn't any better than last year's embarrassment, West Viriginia plays in as bad of a conference as the Big 12, maybe ASU if they won out.

I'm curious to see what they look like tomorrow that will say a lot....I really expect them to put OSU at 3 and Missouri at 4 just because that's been the nature of college football.

Mizzou handled Illinois; Ohio State lost to them.

Mizzou's only loss is to a 2 loss Ok team on the road, there's no shame in that defeat, and there is absolutely no reason why OSU would be ranked ahead of Mizzou, especially given the ridiculous "strength" of the Big 10.

OSU, Michigan, and Illinois are the only ranked teams, and all of them are currently ranked below the Big 12 teams. Mich and Ill will still be below the top 3 B12 teams after this poll. Ohio State has not looked impressive this year, and has played in the worst of the BCS conferences outside of the Big East.

Losing on the road to Okahoma>losing to Illinois. End of story.

College football is screwed up. You're right. It's stupid and nonsensical, but it's not grotesquely retarded.

The computers LOVE KU. If MU beats KU, not only do they move up to #2, but they get a huge boost from the comps. OSU can't do anything to help themselves out anymore. An 11 point win against a 4-loss Michigan team? Wow. They also have a loss against a 3-loss Illinois team that Mizzou beat. Other than that, their only "quality" wins are against Purdue and Wisconsin, and Penn State and none of those teams beat anyone but each other this year.

I'm not saying MU has played a Spartan-tough schedule, because they haven't, but there is nothing in the S.O.S., nor the computers, that could justify OSU leapfrogging MU. The only way for it to happen would be if the voters put OSU #1, MU #3 or #4, and that *will not* happen.

You won't hear that from me. I'd say at this point the SEC is still the conference with the most natural "talent" in it. Does that mean it has the best teams? Not necessarily

1. SEC
2a. Pac 10
2b. Big 12 (the best B12 teams, are IMO, better than the Pac 10 teams, but the P10 is the deeper conference)
4. ACC
5. Big 11
6. Big East

Who'd have thought the BIG 12 game of the year IN FOOTBALL would be MU vs KU? It's been something like 200 years since either of these schools were even decent in football.

To win, Kansas will have to beat a ranked school, I don't think they have played a top 20 team yet - still undefeated is quite an accomplishment.

To win, MU will have to do something they haven't been able to do, finish the season. Pinkel's changed this year though so we'll see.
