He's got his body turned too much before he addresses the ball. Then, as he goes to strike the ball, his hips are turning too much to the inside and it's causing him to pull the ball. If he isn't turned before he addresses the ball, he doesn't square his hips enough and he pushes it.

I understand the hate on him, because it's inexcusable, but his problems are correctable. I just don't know why the coaches aren't seeing it and getting it corrected.

Rayner's problems are mechanical.
Another reason our ST coach should be fired and replaced with a competent one.
