Here we go.

I Predict:

Pats - 87

Philly - 3

Imagine what the spread will be for the Pats V. Jets game?

40-50?

kstater
11-25-2007, 07:22 PM
Read an article this week about Vegas and the Patriots. Basically the article said that they have to put the spread high because as soon as they open a game(ie this week they opened at 20) the big bettors put a ton of money on the Patriots. Within a couple of hours they have to move the line way up.

The guy i played last week had Brady, but i won. I had TO, who had a huge game last week, so it basically evened out.

Ill bet the dude was pissed when they sat Brady in the 4thQ.

I have no issues with 'running-up-the-score'. But you gotta wonder how much longer before someone takes a shot at Brady. Lucky for him, Rodney Harrison is his teammate...

If i was a coach, it might be worth the penalty early in the game for getting a blatent late lick in on him.

Right, but a player could find ways to get to him. He might be suspended for a couple games, but if they really wanted to they could get him.

I saw stats on the Patriots -- If you put together an offense that is dominate year after year, and the team makes the right moves on defense you can win a championship.

The Patriots have been more consistent on offense than defense since 2001. Bill Polian and Dungy finally figured it out last year.

Bill built the Pats around an offense -- a dominate offense will always be more consistent over time than a defense.

I know shocking eh? Problem is most teams aren't as aggressive nor do they have the players the Eagles have to attempt to do that.

Yet, Brady still put up 31 points. If Pat's secondary didn't sukk tonight they may have still dominated. And that PI call on Moss was BS! So points were more.

Dylan

That's why I could never understand Herm's thinking. How can you rely on a defense to win games? Turnovers are unpredictable game by game. How can you rely on luck year after year.

And there you have it, why he will never be a winner and why this organization has issues.

PI on Moss was BS.

Pats defense scored 7, so Pats offense put up 24.

Every game is its own entity. I don't think many teams have teh secondary to be as aggressive as the Iggles were with our WRs, without risking getting burned.

OLine was crap today.

Bullet dodged. Nothing else to say. Hats off to the Eagles for a fantastic performance. Feeley is some kind of whacky Patriots killer...

You can't, Mr. Dylan.

It would require some pretty darn stiff voodoo to do it, anyway.

Didn't the Pats win the division today? Even if they lose out and the Bills win out, they have the division clinched, yes?

LOL, I do? I get called retarded or stupid at least once a week......"I'm more wrong with predictions than anyone on the board" and I'm a bad fan...and I'm not well liked..

It was a great game and unfortunately the Pats won but the Eagles exposed the Pats D big time and I fully expect teams to take advantage of that except it won't happen next week because the Ravens have zero offense.

Exposed the D...and big time? Like they always sukk or play this bad every game. The front did put some pressure on Feely. Yet Feely still made plays.

Yep big time. The Eagles probably have one of the worst WR's corps in the NFL next to KC and the Eagles were able to move the ball up and down the field with a backup QB.

Now every team in the NFL has the blueprint to dissect this D and that is to throw the ball inside for huge gains.

So you figuring we'll lose out and be a first round exit in the playoffs?

Let's face it -- neither you nor I are exactly sure why the in-cuts and seam stuff was generally open, nor why Feely played waaay above his head for most of the game. You (and I) don't know whether it was because of a particular weakness with our defensive scheme in general, or our players, or just that our defense was playing a particular technique for specific reasons that made those plays more open. If it's the last part -- just technique for a game-specific reason, then it isn't much of a problem, is it?

but then they win LOTS of games like that. Guess they need some help after they quit with the cheating.

Give me a break. The Colts game was among the worst-officiated games in NFL history, and it was all in the Colts favor. I could go through a laundry list of other bad calls we've gotten.

And that Moss PI call that negated a touchdown was extremely, extremely flimsy.

No I am not saying that but there is a chink in the armor and I fully expect other teams to exploit it if they can.

The Pats offense is damn near unstoppable so I don't think it is going to matter to much.

Ok. :)

I think we have a very good defense that basically had a very bad day. Psychologically, they may have let up when they learned that "just" the backup QB was starting or whatever. I dunno.

But I'm not fundamentally worried about the D.....yet....
