The D can do only so much if you have incompetence on O as far as coaching and game mindset. I was reading in the San Diego papers and the underlying message was that they felt sorry for the Chiefs. The local media will take the win, but it was nothing to celebrate about. Basically they realize the Chiefs are on the skids and going nowhere.

It was sad to see the decline of Arrowhead mystique and energy. Very sad. I never saw this when Marty, Gun, or DV were our HC's.

CP said when he hired Herm that he would be the last hire for him before his career ends in KC. Let's hope so.

Turnovers and very little help from the offense. We also had a ton of injuries...

the D sucks. . .thats a lame excuse to blame the D's play on the lack of offense. . their job is to play defense. . they get paid a great deal of money to do it. . so if the offense sucks you still need to go out there and perform. . they have consistantly let up in the 4th quarter. .

Does anyone have the following numbers, season-to-date?

1) Amount of time the Chiefs' offense has been on the field?

2) Amount of time the Chiefs' defense has been on the field?

The team hasn't been this bad since 1988.

derrick Johnson and Jared allen would be defensive players of the year if games were 3 quarters long. . .they just seem to dissapear in 4th Qtr and Tamba Hali and Nap Harris dissapear the entire game. .

Another Arrowhead Sellout: The Chiefs registered their 140th consecutive sellout at Arrowhead.

Defense is solid but not great

when a solid but not great defense gets put under pressure or loses a guy to injury it usually stumbles.

defense isn't quite there yet ...... probably will be next year though.

doesn't help that our corners can't seem to really cover much of anybody. The number of actual pass defenses can't be very high.

I guess we were better off with DV's O since we still have his D. ;)

I'm not about to bag on this defense.
They surrender fewer than 20 points per game.

There's always room for improvement, but the Defense has been the best unit on this team all year long. If they weren't as good we'd have something like 1 or 2 wins.
