...so, here I am; listening to some tunes on the iPod, and suddenly a song that hasn't made it's way through the shuffle to the headphones for quite some time chimes in......

"Sucker In a 3 Piece" by Van Halen (Hagar)

It got me thinking; The Chiefs need new music for pre-kickoff to replace Black Betty / Welcome to the Jungle;

Not only would it give a new pre-kickoff tune; but it would pay tribute to Carl.

:hmmm:

How about "Behind the Wall of Sleep," by Black Sabbath?

That would get some folks going for sure; great drum/snare intro; somewhow I think the guitar would sound GREAT prior to kickoff.
Plus, depending on how the team is doing, we could subsitute Fired & F*cked as words in the title. ;)

I've also always though "Sombebody Get Me A Doctor" would be good (at leat the main riff etc.).

good call, though, on AFU...I'd be jacked up if i were a Special Teamer hearing that song.

What is Zune?

i typically use the shuffle to workout/play into my Line 6 amp etc. I don't have tons of music, but like being able to keep what I do have in a mobile device etc.

zune is a ipod sort of. Do you run your music through your guitar amp? That is what I do. I hardly ever get to crank up my amp for guitar (you don't really need it for that funky blues I rake in) I thought i was only the only person who does that

I've been experimenting around a bit; I had a marshall VS 100 4X12 for about 10 years; played primarily through it with my american Tele;; so I'm still figuring out the capabilities of the Line6; apparently you can hook in and play along etc; I used to play along with CDs via the home theater system in the 'cave'....but I've since moved the downsized amp to a place in the house w/out a good stereo etc. I'm curious to see what the amp sounds like with music & guitar running through it; should sound ok I suspect.

"Ring Around the Rosie" seems appropriate

That rocks. The intro to that would be cool...

Disregard the video, but the music could work...

"Run to the Hills" would be appropriate IMO.
