Lol, thanks. I sure hope the power doesn't go out. I'd be more bored then I already am. I've left the house once since yesterday afternoon.

Not just KC, but all of Missouri. Pretty much all of the midwest, from what I hear. I've lived in three different parts of Missouri (KC area, Springfield and St. Louis), and one thing has been common in all three places - the belief that Missouri's slogan should be "If you don't like the weather, wait a day or walk a mile!"

A day in the life of the Midwest Weather Gods: "Hmmm, today I think we'll steal the weather from the Eastern Seaboard. Okay, 'nuff of that, now we'll take it from the South. Bored already, let's take it from the Pacific Northwest! Now for some California sunshine! Eh, fuggit, roll the dice!"

same here... Only thing that is keeping me awake, is throwing rocks at Skip... Nothing like picking on the elderly...

Well you should of come over and crashed here today... Just watching football, the wife made a killer pot of potato soup today... Daughter made brownies...

Fat Cat day...

Yeah the wife has a killer recipe, it was topped with bacon and shredded cheese...

It kicked ass... I ate so much I could hardly stay awake during the game...

I should've walked then. It would've taken an hour but would've been worth for potato soup.

Well I am off here for the night, let me know if you need a place, if your electricity goes out...

There are 25K in the metro without electricity right now...

Call my cell if you need.

If you ever go down Trinidad
They make you feel so very glad
Calypso sing and make up rhyme
Guarantee you one real good fine time

Drinkin' rum and Coca-Cola
Go down Point Koomahnah
Both mother and daughter
Workin' for the Yankee dollar

Oh, beat it man, beat it

Since the Yankee come to Trinidad
They got the young girls all goin' mad
Young girls say they treat 'em nice
Make Trinidad like paradise

Drinkin' rum and Coca-Cola
Go down Point Koomahnah
Both mother and daughter
Workin' for the Yankee dollar

Oh, you vex me, you vex me

From Chicachicaree to Mona's Isle
Native girls all dance and smile
Help soldier celebrate his leave
Make every day like New Year's Eve

Drinkin' rum and Coca-Cola
Go down Point Koomahnah
Both mother and daughter
Workin' for the Yankee dollar

It's a fact, man, it's a fact

In old Trinidad, I also fear
The situation is mighty queer
Like the Yankee girl, the native swoon
When she hear der Bingo croon

Drinkin' rum and Coca-Cola
Go down Point Koomahnah
Both mother and daughter
Workin' for the Yankee dollar

Out on Manzanella Beach
G.I. romance with native peach
All night long, make tropic love
Next day, sit in hot sun and cool off

Drinkin' rum and Coca-Cola
Go down Point Koomahnah
Both mother and daughter
Workin' for the Yankee dollar

It's a fact, man, it's a fact

Rum and Coca-Cola
Rum and Coca-Cola
Workin' for the Yankee dollar

I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am with Super-****-you-storm 07. I'm sitting at my mother's house with my whole fam damily because she's the only one with any electricity. Nine people in this house. You can't stand outside to smoke without hearing some tree off in the distance cracking and sending half of itself to the ground. Not once in 30 years has the ice gotten bad enough we've lost our electric.

God I hate this time of year.

You cant.. They dont want the elderly driving down the Turner Turnpike right now...

to much ice...

I'm not sure I could get into my van. It is covered with ice and we're expecting another 1/2 inch of ice. 97,000 customers (houses and businesses) without power in the Tulsa area. I've enoyed about all of this I can stand.

Reerun_KC
12-10-2007, 07:26 AM
I agree skip. We still have power so far...

Ice is about 3/4 of an inch thick and more coming today...

I freaking hate the midwest sometimes.

Suprisingly not to bad here. I guess it hasn't got cold enough to do any real damage. There's about 1/4 in. of ice on the trees and grass but thats about it. The streets are wet but none of them have ice. The thermometer reads 31 . Hopefully It doesn't drop anymore.
Eh, what do I care. I have food and don't need to go anywhere. If the electric goes out I have a generator that will run most everthing in the house I need.

Now it is pouring down rain here in OKC.... I guess the 3/4 to 1" of ice isnt enough already?
