Draft Position??? [Archive]

Does anyone know what draft spot we would have if the season ended today? Also assuming that the 3 win teams all win 1 game and we loose out, in essance we would be tied for the second worst record in the NFL with many teams with 4 wins, then where would we draft? Just curious if anyone has done the math.

We'd leapfrog the Jets and I have this sneaking suspicion that the Rams are gonna get another win, possibly jumping them as well.

all the 3-10 teams in front of us have a stronger strength of schedule ...... if we lose out we have a very good chance of picking 2nd or 3rd.

Holy shit, not this again. There is not an elite tackle in the first round, wait until the 2nd round because that is where the best value in. Very strong year for good olineman, very weak year for elite olineman.

Even if we draft a tackle first round, McIntosh will be our starting LT. The rookie will be our RT.

I doubt that. When did you start making the starting lineups? I'm certain if we draft a first round tackle, he'd be starting on the left sooner rather than later.

Peoples thoughts are going to be way different about players after the combine. Arguing about the draft right now its pretty stupid. We don't know for sure who will draft where, what trades will be made, and who at the time will be labeled as the best player in the draft.

Yes, Yes, Yes. Besides, if there is one that Carl has proven is that he can't draft D tackles for sh!t. I'd rather take an O-lineman or receiver that can instantly help our embarassingly bad offense than piss away another top 10 pick on Ryan Sims 2.0

Why are you begging for a D-tackle so bad? If you list this team's needs, it barely makes the top 5

I think we need 2 Offensive linemen, 2 Corners, and a Wide receiver before we even think of drafting d-tackle. Too early to give up on Tank and Turk.

Because you don't draft for need when there is an elite player you could use. This team needs cornerstones to be successful in the future, not just a good player.

Hell Chris Long is better than Jake Long.......Rust lays out it...the real elite players this year are at Dline and QB for us...we can get close to the same value on an OT in the 2nd where we can't on those Dlineman.

Jake Long isn't elite....don't con yourself into believing he is...also this is a god awful WR year, there will be no top 10 WR's.

Yeah there will be a pretty good OT available early in the 2nd round. We have evaluate properly and simply take the best player in the 1st round. Every round really!
