That's weird. The two best teams made it in my league. The player he has that scares me is Brady. Hopefully all TD's go through Moss as that is one of my receivers.

Last year in the league I didn't make many moves, this year it seemed like I made 2-3 every week. The contract league is just odd enough to be interesting.

Gotcha. However, I could reasonably see a team reach the playoffs without a single player who makes the NFL playoffs. Do you redraft each week of the playoffs? For instance if you have LT, Gates, Burress, Brees, etc. and they all get bounced round 1.

I feel your pain. Fortunately I have Roethlisberger, Parker and the Pittsburgh D going against the Lambs. I also have Moss so that could ease the pain a bit.

Well we got tired of the head-to-head format because we feel like fantasy football should be about scoring and there's no way in hell to model it like the actual NFL although some purists will argue so as of 3 years ago we adapted the following format and can't say enough good about it.

12 teams,head-to-head schedule only for a few bucks and bragging rights,the overall scoring to make the play-offs works like this.

A point system of 11 thru 0 with highest points of the week getting 11 and so on.This way if you have 2nd highest score of the week but lose your h2h you're still rewarded for putting together a good squad.

We play all 17 weeks on that point system and the top 6 make the post-season.

As for your original take it's really amazing to see how many play-off players are already on teams since the higher scorers are usually in the running.For instance as of today I have 11 of 21 players going to the NFL post-season.

Sorry for the length but I can't say enough good about this format,we find ourselves checking everyone's scores because 1/10th of a point in this league can mean losing 1 point overall.

No but we don't have h2h in the play-offs either we go into a total score tournament.Your roster has to maintain regular season if you have that many players left but the whole idea is to score the most all thru the NFL Superbowl,and yes when it's all said and done you may only have 1-2 players during the NFL Superbowl but hopefully your other players scored well before getting bounced.

Unlike most here, I'm in if Peterson scores LESS than 18.5 points and would go up against the team with Moss/Brady/NE defense.

this year it was down to 6 players. But the previous 2 years I think there was 12.

The closest person to me point wise this year was 170 points behind. And no, I didn't have Brady or Moss.

I'm in 2 leagues this year. Finalist in both. Both teams I played against in the semi's had Tom Brady so I'm happy to have gotten by them.

I didnt make it. I had the highest scoring team all year, then, this weekend, I got 3 points from TO, 3 from Burress, 1 from TG, and 8 From Lynch, while my opponent 19 from Crosby, 21 from NE D and 23 from LT. Un frigging believable! Despite my bad week, I still outscored the other 2 teams. But I had to get the guy who kicked ass this week. :banghead:

We have a stange Defensive scoring system in my pay league, the dude I was up against had Chicago's defense and the 20 points they allowed was enough for me to win but Tavaris Jackson and his 3 INT's ruined it for me. I lost by the 2 points his last INT cost me, and I would have totally run the opponent for the Gold Ring that is on the line.

I am extremely disappointed. Eli Manning killed me most of the year and then defense hurt. A lesson for next year

I know it doesn't qualify as a h2h league but as of Thursday night with Big Ben as 1 of my qb's I managed to jump up to 97th overall out of 5000 in the NBC $100,000 Challenge.To say I'm getting a bit nervous about picking players is an understatement.

I'm in the super bowl in my league, and my matchup should be real close. He has tom Brady and Welker, but I have Moss, he has Chad Johnson, I have Houshmandzadeh. Just kind of a weird matchup because we both have some elite players that play for the same teams.

I'm also in an ESPN league where the playoffs are two weeks long. Last season I won a Chiefs Planet league on ESPN so this year they invited me into a "Champions" league. The Planet League was much tougher than this one.

1 league I lost by 7 but the 1st Kevin Curtis td was not scored because it was a fumble recovery,wtf ?So I would've lost by 1 had it been credited but what hurt worst of all was losing with Brady at the helm when Warner on my bench would've won the game

As I recall if Gates gets 1 more td he will be the 1st TE ever to have 10 or more 3 straight years,so I'd look for at least 1 score from him.

my wife beat me in our championship (unless Brandon Marshall somehow puts up 30 points tonight). but i'd point out that i drafted and managed both teams, so it's a win-win.

besides accidentally drafting someone in the final round, the only thing my wife did with her team was name it.

so, both my teams ended up in the championship. me with manning-wayne-westbrook leading the way, her with brady-moss leading the way.

I have Marshall in the CP NFL_Sunday4 league title game, also going against Gates. I had no idea I was even in the finals until about 15 minutes ago. Had I checked b/f, I'd have started Vernon Davis over Shockey and would be up 5, rather than down 1.

My son made it to the final game in three leagues and lost all three. He won $350 but could have won $700. Still, he had a much better season than his dad......I got nada, only made one playoffs.

It's fun playing in leagues with my sons. Gives us something we can do together despite living in three different states.

I won our "friendly" league for the 3rd time in 4 years. It was actually rough going this year - lost Delhomme, Andre Johnson (for most of the year), and Ronnie Brown. My first two draft choices (Maroney and Bush) contributed only sparingly, although Maroney had two big games at the end.

Ended up having a piecemeal lineup of castoffs, scrubs, and backups by the end of the year.

Here was the winning team. None of the starters were drafted in the first two rounds.

Kurt Warner, M. Barber, Kolby, Stecker, Bowe, Andre Johnson, Vernon Davis (ugh) and Seahawks on Defense. Ended up going for about 140 in our league scoring system. Go figure.
