Rules:

1. Any jersey counts - replica, authentic, game-worn, autographed, a red t-shirt on which you wrote a number in magic marker, anything.

2. Wearing counts in any context. It could be one you wore to a game to cheer on your team, one you wore to a football-watching party, or one you wore to mow your lawn. Doesn't matter.

3. Wearing must have taken place during the calendar year of 2007, using the Julian calendar.

Poll forthcoming.

To be fair, I wear the Montana jersey because it will never be "outdated", similar to DT jerseys. Montana only played for one other team, and I bought the authentic stitched one 75% off from $125.

I have posted a similar poll on the Orange Mane if you would like to view it as it progresses. I would ask Chiefs fans to not vote on the Orange Mane poll, and Broncos fans not to vote on the Chiefsplanet poll.

So far, they're blowing our theory out of the water. There's not a single vote for horseface yet.

You know, I was about to say the same thing, then I remembered that I did have (I don't remember why) a Mike Curtis #32 Colts jersey when I was a teenager. But I digress. I did not wear any jersey in 2007.

I'm a bit suspicious of that, but we'll see as time progresses.

I have an authentic Chiefs jersey, but I put my name and high school/ college number on it. I wanted my name on a jersey, and other than a guy who played in the league for about 2 years in the mid 90s, there hasn't been a guy in the NFL with my name. Sadly, he played for the Broncos... so I'm definitely not doing that.

Have you watched the Super Bowl series on NFL Network? Mike Curtis was one of the guys interviewed on the Super Bowl V segment, and man oh man he looks like a mean sunofagun. He's probably in his sixties now, and he comments about how he loved football because you could physically confront people about disagreements, and laments that it's sad that in his current field, commercial real estate, "that's at the bottom of the list of acceptable solutions to a disagreement".

I always figured he would just become a contract killer after he hung up the spikes.

LMAO Wow, that auto-edit was... unfortunate. Pretty sure you didn't mean to call Mike Curtis a faig.

No no no, I did not call Mike Curtis a disparaging name. Please don't kill me, Mr. Curtis. I called him a sun of a gun. Please don't kill me, Mr. Curtis.

whoa...what's that auto-edit doing in there?

They need to make it so that it only changes the word in question rather than the word when it's part of another word.

Rain Man

No kidding. If I disappear, have them look for mounds of dirt in Mike Curtis' back yard.

I thought it might be possible to get an idea about this from Amazon.com's sales ranks, but unfortunately there are too many different configurations for each player to figure anything out quickly. Oh well.

Oh, and happy post 5,000 to me.

I have determined that I don't care to wear player jerseys. I'm not elitist about it, if you want to wear one, I could care less, but for myself, I'm a Chiefs fan, not Ryan Sims fan for example.
