With our 8 game streak we gotta be getting close. We really stink.

The record is 8. I think it was set by the 1985 team and tied the last game.

We had a 9-game losing streak in the middle of 1987, and that's the only streak I can find that's longer than 6.

We lost our last 6 games in 1977 but opened with a win in 1978.

We had a 6-game losing streak in 1978.

Can't find any others over 5, but I'm just poking around.

I see a 7-game losing streak in 1985, as noted by Chief Faithful.

We might tie a team record against the Jets. Herm is good at what he does.

Herm can't relax now. He's one short of tying the record and two away from breaking it.

If they give Herm another year they are nuts. We fired Marv Levy because he had "reached a plateau".

Thanks to Ganz the team cannot set a new record this year alone. The 1977 team was still the worst team in franchise history in my opinion. Of course I'll never forget Marv Levy switching to the WingT offense because he felt they only had a chance to win if they controlled the clock and kept the defense off the field. How low can you go when the HC is changing the whole offense because he feels his own defense sucks and he is willing to tell everyone in the media.

Believe it or not this franchise has seen times when there was much less talent. It is a real bad mark on this coaching staff if they can tie the record with a more talented team.

I think he can make it happen, Mr. Rain Man. Herm said on the radio that we can expect some mistakes because a bunch of new guys were going to see a lot of PT in the next game. A couple of them are two dudes who were doing work on his house last week.

If Herm loses Sunday I have something good on the back burner. There have been a lot of bad head coaches who lost 9 in a row, and not very many good ones.

Unless it gets him and Carl out of office it can't be too good. I want Clark's answer. It's week 17-it's the END of the season. Fire these clowns. Make people accountable and don't settle for anything less than striving for the SuperBowl victory EVERY year.

If this season were a criminal case against Herm I wouldn't want to be the lawyer defending him.

Based on the tone and tenor of Carl's radio show, these two guys seem very secure in their positions, Mr. BigChiefFan. A lot of mutual respect shared between them and a firm belief in the plan. Whatever that is.

I've heard some teams actually do that.

No, he will need one game next year to garner the record. He has had 4 win seasons in two of his past three years though.
