Newly hired executive vice president Bill Parcells reportedly has started to put his stamp on the Miami Dolphins.

The Miami Herald reported on its Web site Monday that Parcells has fired general manager Randy Mueller.

Parcells informed Mueller of his decision on Monday morning, the Herald reported.

Head coach Cam Cameron is scheduled to meet with Parcells on Tuesday, the newspaper reported.

The Dolphins were 16-32 during Mueller's three seasons as GM. Miami finished 1-15 this season following Sunday's loss to Cincinnati and owns the No. 1 pick in the draft.

Mueller was GM of the Saints in 2000 and 2001, then served as an NFL analyst for ESPN for three seasons prior to his hiring by the Dolphins. In New Orleans, Mueller traded Ricky Williams to Miami for two first-round draft picks before the 2002 season.

Someone here mentioned they want Mueller as our GM? That's one of the silliest ideas yet.

I don't know there chagrin, maybe that's what the planet needs, a GM that has been involved with football.

I don't think we would want him anywhere near the Chiefs though!

Parcells doesn't blend in with the attitude concept in KC. Coincedence that is why he is not here?

Wayne Huizinga is about 100 times a better owner than gutless piece of garbage Clark Hunt is.

During the Dolphins trip to London this season he basically give a completely open interview to all of the local media and took 100% of the blame for what was transpiring with the franchise and vowed to aggressively fix it (this was back in October).

Clark Hunt on the other hand has chosen to hide and only grant interviews to the likes of Wargarbage Illustrated.

You guys act like Parcells is the only guy that would have fired Mueller.

ANYONE who happened to take that job would have fired his ass after the abortion of a draft last year.

Huizinga is a dipshit for hiring him in the first place.

There was garbage to be taken out regardless, Parcells just happened to be the guy on the truck.....

Firing Mueller was an obvious decision. Finding his replacement will be the challenging aspect. Any rumors out there yet who it might be?

My brother's boss who cuts hair on the side had a client who's a real estate agent tell the waiter at Chili's last night that Bill Cowher just bought a house in Miami.

I don't see why Parcells just doesn't do the GM thing, and then hire a cap guy to assist him. He's wanted to "shop for the groceries" for a while anyway.

Also, Mueller needed to be fired. I don't understand how he would let Wes Welker walk, and then cut Chris Chambers. Both of who are now important parts of playoff teams. This ain't MLB.

And firing Carl isn't?!?
Oh yeah, we won 4 games, the Dolphins only won one, so we're like 400% better than them.

I like Carl for some things but not others. I would be ok with Carl sticking around in a limited capacity but not as GM because I don't think Carl is capable of finding another legit head coach. If I were Clark, I would find another GM, and then give Carl the choice of staying on in a reduced role or being fired altogether.

Sure, let him manage the renovations, hell give him a job with Hunt Properties I don't care, just get his grubby little mits off of the football team.

That is what the Tuna is doing. He is in charge of player personell, as well as all coaches. They didnt walk, they were traded.
