So the Titans are the model the Chiefs would like to use? It sounds a lot like the Marty years where the defense keeps you in games and the offense leaves a lot to be desired. It works in the regular season but come playoff time not so much. I remember the days when the Chiefs got down by more than 10 points, I had no confidence that they would be able to come back and win the game. It's fun to watch a great defense but I want the offense to be able to put teams away and not just play in close games.

I also don't like the idea of DOMINATING a team for a half and only having a 6 point lead to show for it.

I thought we wanted to be the Jags.

I was watching the Steelers Jags game last night and thinking,"Have the Chiefs, in the years I have had tickets, ever had a comeback like this at home?" Sure the Steelers lost, but through the years, I can think of a few comebacks on the road (Jets, Cards) but none at home. I bet that was, up to the point they lost, fun as hell for the fans.

I think I would still rather be the Jags. :harumph:

The Steelers have a QB the Chiefs have never had....they've gotten away from the whole "Steeler football" stuff.

The Jags are about as good as you can be playing that way and well...I highly doubt they are winning any bowls.

Once again, it all comes down to QB PLAY.

The KEY to the Titans ever winning a championship in the near future is riding on Young and if he ever fully develops as a passing weapon.

When an over the hill eric moulds and justin gage are your main targets, your passing game is going to suck

BULLSHIT. QB position is way overrated. Again, look at the Jags. A team that has scored 24 points or more for 11 games straight. Their QB only has 18 TDs and 2500 yards. That team is not only balanced offense vs. defense, they're even balanced on run vs pass. With the right scheme and BALANCE, you can win. If Herm and Solari were coaching the Jags, Garrard throws 3 TDs and 18 picks and the same team is 6-9.

Why not strive to be like the Patriots?

Vince Young is horrible. I don't know if he'll ever be any good, but right now...he is horrible.

Sure, you can win without a QB and make the playoffs. No one will dispute that.

Sometimes even the stars align right and you can win a championship without a decent QB (Dilfer)

But to have continued long term success and to realistically compete for a championship year in and year out an team MUST HAVE a top tier QB. Especially in todays game.

I highly doubt the Jags get past the Colts or Pats because Garrard simply cant play to the level of Manning or Brady.

I've seen some things from Young that suggests he has potential.

If he realizes that potential, then the Titans will be a team to be reckoned with.

Jeff Fisher is a hell of coach.

Herm has mentioned several times about being or used the Jags as an example

Gage isnt over the hill, he's just not a great NFL calibur type WR. Avg at best.

I believe it was 2003, @ Green Bay. the Chiefs were down 17 at the beginning of the 4th and came back to win. Might have been 2004

Dilfer was a #1 round pick (sixth overall). I only say this because he was supposed to be a very good QB.

Video tape the oppositons defensive signals?

With the Chiefs offense, the NFL might encourage it.
