•GREEN NOT FINISHED: Former Chiefs quarterback Trent Green, now a QB with the Dolphins, reiterated what he had told Florida reporters before the season finale last month, that he has passed all medical tests and hasn’t had any concussion-related symptoms for several months. Green, who will turn 38 before next season, again said that he wants to come back, but is not sure his style will mesh with whatever coach the Dolphins end up hiring.

Trent we all know and love your competitive spirit, but take a hint from Holmes....enough is enough. You've got a wife and kids to think about now, not to mention you have to hurry your a** up here to Kansas City to be our QB's coach!! ;)

Could be a case where if he is medically cleared and retires then he needs to pay back some money.

That's not exactly what he said on Mike and Mike this morning.

I'm not completely sure on the specifics, but I think something along these lines is in play. I think it's better for him to get cut/released by the team than to retire.

What did he say?

He was on PTI last night and to paraphrase he is has been cleared by two doctors but he is researching and getting consultants advise on the injury syptoms and long term effects. Right now all tests and MRI and CAT scans have been excellent with no damage. He is doing the research so later on down the road there will be complications. He has yet talked to Parcells or Maimi owner. He will because the will have to decide by March, business side of the NFL starts.

Wow

I could understand if he was backing up Tom Brady or even Brett Farve and had a good shot at another Super Bowl but the Dolphins are on par with the Chiefs for a Super Bowl appearance.

Unless it's a financial move, not smart. He would make a great talking head next to Cowher and JJ.

Good Lord. This has to be a ploy of some kind. Getting your brains scrambled twice in just over a one year period, he's got to be smarter than this...or maybe it IS brain damage...

Seriously, Trent. Give it up. There's no stink on you and you have nothing left to prove. Go eat some nachos with Priest and enjoy retirement...

Trent would have to compete with Warren Sapp for a tv gig. Trent would be far better in my opinion, but you know who they would chooseWell, there are:
The NFL Network
ESPN (multiple channels/shows)
CBS
NBC
FOX

I think there's probably enough room for both Green and Sapp.

I can think of several spots they can replace. Sharpe, Cowher, the whole lot on Fox

Sapp would go to ESPN or FOX whereas Trent would get a job at CBS or NBC.

He is just securing his paycheck for next year. I dont blame him for that. But I doubt that he really expects to come back. I assume as long as he is available, then he is owed money.

What is Zach Thomas, isn't that his name, going to do next year. Weren't they getting on his butt about not playing. He sat out the whole season since the car accident didn't he? How old is he?
