Since they're going to win the Super Bowl every year anyway, could they clear a roster spot to be kind of a tourist thing? You know, like maybe Bill Gates could pay a few million dollars to put on a uniform and sit on the bench, just so he could get a Super Bowl ring and say he was a champion football player?
Would the minimum salaries interfere with that, or can a "player" voluntarily waive that rule?

I'd do it as a lottery, but I like the concept. Pay your buck, get a chance at a Super Bowl ring.

There would have to be some consolation prize for someone who doled out that kind of cash and the Pats lost the Super Bowl.
I am thinking of midgets with tasers pursuing a hoodless Belichik through the sewers of downtown Boston, for starters...

They could make you the person to run the kicking tee out. Well, not me, I'd be to slow
