Apparently, we're moving in the direction of cloning beloved pets. I'm pretty sure that, in a few decades, we'll have the ability to clone our SOs. And, now that I think of it, three or four beautiful and witty Mrs. FAXs wouldn't be half bad. Also, it would be interesting to clone some past girlfriends. I'm not sure how that would work in a family setting, though. I suppose more research is needed.

Korean firm bids to clone dead pets

The world's first pet cloning service is to offer animal lovers the chance to recreate their dead companions, it was announced today.

South Korean company RNL Bio will work alongside scientists who created the first cloned canine.

A company spokeswoman said it was already working on its first order from an American who wanted a clone of her dead pit bull.

So if you cloned your wife and then slept with her 18 years later, would that be cheating? :hmmm:

Mr. FAX: What if you had yourself cloned? Would you think all the same thoughts, have the same feelings, have a memory bank that is blank to begin with but soon fill with new memories and ideas that occur as you are raised but still have the same demeanor and ideas towards those memories?

Could you talk to your clone and tell him the perils that could lie ahead? What to look out for and who to stay away from in the event they get cloned also?

It opens up an avenue to the fountain of youth. A person through varied times could be cloned to start his/her life over again. Would it be like the movie "Groundhog Day" or whatever the name of it was with Bill Murray?

And perchance you were accidently killed, you could still be cloned again via the use of the DNA available from your body. Would have been a wonderful discussion to have had years ago when the bong was being passed around.

It is very possible that some, if not all, of your current personality would try and attach itself to your new clone, Mr. stonedstooge. Essentially, there are three minds; the "conscious", the "sub-conscious", and the "super-conscious".

The conscious mind is the part that learns from physical sensory input, like seeing and hearing and pictures of naked girls and things like that. So, that part would have to learn all over again. However the sub-conscious is connected to the super-conscious or the "eternal" or "universal" mind. This is floaty stuff that connects all matter and energy that nobody understands except a few electrons and they aren't talking.

Therefore, just like people who re-enter their own bodies after a near-death experience instead of somebody else's, the original personality is probably "synched" up with the physical construction of an individual's mind frequency and sub-conscious energies. This, of course, means that the personality would attempt to enter that cloned mind. The problem is that no one knows if a single personality can co-exist in two minds simultaneously. If not, it's possible that the clone would take your original personality out of your original brain and you would be left with a vacuum brain and a personality very similar to Herm's. That's where the clone hats come in handy.
