Just saw this on Tucker:
The governors of Missouri and Kansas had a bet on the outcome of the MU-KU football game. If KU lost the governor was supposed to wear a tiger tail today. Instead she wore a jacket with an big Orange Bowl patch on the back.
Typical beaker behavior.

Edit: I looked for a web confirmation of the tail part. I couldn't find it. I blame Bill Wolfe on MSNBC if the part about the tail is false.

So are you guys going to try to restore your honor by writing to the governor?

Who the hell taught Kansans how to write? That was a major blunder on somebody's part.

There's nothing lamer in the sports world than governor bets.

I totally agree with you, but just to be clear, her bet was to wear black and gold. She wore a black suit with a gold scarf. And yes the back had an orange bowl logo on it. Not exactly a travesty of justice.

Not exactly a travesty of justice. So, the bet had nothing to do with a tiger tail? Then, what's this thread all about? Can this be verified one way or the other? I think Sebeliusl should step down as Governor. She sucks as a Gov. anyway.

A tiger tail? I seriously doubt any politician would agree to something so stupid. A hat, shirt, jacket, sure but a tail?

Technically, yes. But minimizing the gold while sporting a huge Orange Bowl patch reeks of poor sportsmanship.

If she was going to wear an Orange Bowl jacket she should have accessorized it with Lew Perkins' kneepads.

Agree wholeheartedly, though throwing gatorade on a winning coach is a pretty close second.

I'd bet she offered a double or nothin' to the Mizzou governor on the basketball games and Missouri said, "Hell no! That's a sucker's bet!".
