For those Rednecks amongst us(which includes me). My favorite sunday afternoon activity during the NFL offseason. I have always been a Jr. fan. I am pulling for him to win his first championship this year now that he is on a good team. DEI has been crap since Sr. died. I think they blew about 10-12 engines all together last year.

You're my new friend!! I've been a Jr. fan ever since the first time I saw him race. My Daddy was a Sr. fan, so naturally I wanted his boy to beat him. It doesn't hurt that he's hot, too. ;)

No kidding, IMO this is the best time of the year for it. It's not like there's anything else going on.

Jr. is dead to me now that he's join GordonI really didn't like him being Gordon's teammate either, but Hendricks is one of the best teams out there and gives him his best chance to win. Stewart on the other hand is dead to me now. I used to like him, but I refuse to root for any Toyota drivers. I cannot believe that Gibbs switched to Toyota.

Yep, there was a 43 car pileup on the first lap and everyone is out of the race. Thanks for coming.

My wife is not a Nascar fan. I began watching it about 5 years ago. Until then, after the superbowl, she didn't have to deal with sports until the nfl preseason began. Now, it is th SB, then the probowl, then speedweek, no lul in between. I love it, she does not.

Now that would have been worth watching.

But what you're really telling me is that there's plenty of left turns remaining.

I spent the whole day in Daytona yesterday with my son doing all of the stuff that was set up around the track. Then in the afternoon, some guy gave away tickets to to the Busch race and we got to see the last 2/3 of the race for free. Today I'll just watch the race from the comfort of my couch.

Really....:BS:

Tivo is awesome for racing. I am going to work in the yard this afternoon and then set down and watch it later. When you can fly through the commercials it cuts out a hell of a lot of time. Especially on a long race like the 500.

[QUOTE=chief52;4589435]Really....:BS:

I don't know anyone else who has raced in all the major motor sports and won in them all. Cart Champion, INDY champion, f1 winner, and won a busch and cup in his first season. F1 is the highest form of racing in the world yet I don't see them looking for any nascar drivers. I really don't think it is a question of who is the best driver in the field.

Demon;

I am a Montoya fan. My buddy's son is a member of Montoya's pit crew, J D Frey. Google it if you have any doubt. I root for him. He is a great driver amongst a bunch of great drivers. To say he stands out amongst these drivers is absurd. Has he made unbelievable strides in a short amount of time? You bet. Does he have a long ways to go? Damn right.

Like I said, I am a fan. But do not try to put him above the others.

He joined Hendrick the evil empire! I followed the 3 car untill Big E was killed then changed to the 29 as it is the 3 car. I am a RCR fan and pull for Harvick, Bowyer and Burton. I used to pull for little E but like you I am done with him. btw congrats to Newman on the win welcome to the club!

Waltrip actually did a pretty good parody of himself in the Disney flick "Cars"

Which in and of itself, was a parody and loving tribute to NASCAR.
