A buddy of mine in the Tom Petty fan club got first crack at tickets $99 each and Ticketmaster nailed him for a $14.50 per ticket service charge PLUS an additional $2.50 per ticket to mail them to him, what a fockin' monopoly.

Same with me. I picked up two second row seats and my service charge was the same. Outrageous.

I have to use ticketmaster at work sometimes in the ticket office. ****ing hate it. Not only does it rape customers, but it is the worst ****ing system possible used for selling tickets... at least compared to the program we use for games. There needs to be a better competitor to keep this greedy ass company in check. I dont remember the event now, but I was going to get 2 tickets that were roughly $30 each, and they wanted a $25 surcharge for purchasing them... **** that shit! I didnt go.

I bought a pair of hockey tickets a month ago that were $20. After all the fees, they were $30.

Next time, I'm just driving up to the box office.

Between them and the slimy ticket brokers, I've all but given up going to concerts.

My most memorable experience was when I used my debit card to purchase tickets online from TicketBastard and somehow somebody stole my card number (and as a result accessed my bank account) as a result of that transaction. Luckily I noticed the money going missing almost immediately.

I have given up on concerts. Tired of overpaying for admission only to be surrounded by drunken imbeciles bellowing out the lyrics to the songs so loud that I can't even hear the musicians that I paid a fortune to see perform. I go to the theater now instead if I want to see a live performance. People stay in their seats and keep their f#cking mouths shut.
