Which PS3 models are the best to get if you are concerned about playing PS2 games. I've heard the 60gb model is the best since it does the PS2 in hardware, I was curious if the 20gb also did.

TIA

80gb is the only crrently available one that plays PS2 games. The 60gb did a slightly better job, but it is discontinued, and the only way to get it is buy a refurbished unit from Gamestop (90 day warranty) or buy one used off ebay. They sell for a premium.

Amazon has had stock today on the 80gb version. I can tell you from experience, they are hard to find. I have spent the last week looking for one all over town and online.

I've heard that ToysRus might have some 80G units.

The whole backward compatibility issue is the main thing keeping me from buying a PS3 at this point. If the 40G version was backward compatible, I would have jumped on the bandwagon as soon as it was released.
