Thought someone here might know offhand. Someone is asking on another forum.

"The guy with these drums calls this finish "Cosmic Debris". I never heard of it or saw it before. Is this a legit Ludwig finish or some custom job? If it's a factory finish, do you know what year it's from? It's on a set of Ludwig Classics."

Looks like mid-1980's tacky to Bob Dole.

That is not a Ludwig design as far as I know and I've played for years.

That's the debate--whether they are some sort of custom finish.

Never seen or heard of a Ludwig with anything like that.....

Looking around the web briefly, Bob Dole was unable to find any Ludwig finish charts beyond 1981. From the limited view, though, there doesn't appear to be any repeating pattern, so it's probably not a wrap.

The resident experts have about decided that they've been covered with RockenWraps.

Seems like the most likely scenario.
