... and their nack of turning a dark subject into a funny movie, I highly recommend the movie "Keeping Mum."

Enjoy.

The British don't have a sense a humor that they're aware of.

There are a couple of decent British Flicks but their comedy is not always that funny over here.

Do you mean to tell me that John Cleese doesn't know that he is funny?

Ooooh a couple of somewhat amusing comments here!

Anyone who enjoyed Whose Line is it Anyway owes us Brits one ;)

Although our humour is kinda different to yours, I'm not surprised some of you think we have none at all :-P
But hey, I support the Chiefs, so guess I gotta have a bit of a sense of humour to get through times like these...

haha Hologide, true you have to have humor to be a chiefs fan.

There are a few movies that i can't say i love but are good like Johnny English, ok rip on me now.

Also isn't Hot Fuzz? it wasn't that bad of a movie.

Monty Python?

Also, Fawlty Towers, Black Adder, Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and the (IMO) hilarious films of Simon Pegg.

Thanks for the tip Frankie. I'll pick it up.

Blackadder: "Baldrick, you're fired."
Baldrick: "But I've been in service for over 20 years"
Blackadder: "So has syphillis, now get out"

We have the British to thank for The Office which is brilliant. Coupling isn't a bad series (for any that checked out the Netflix thread posted by Ill-Logical) and it a good middle-o-the-road programing when having to watch something with the woman.

For those that are into cars, Top Gear on the BBC is a fantastically funny program with cool stuff on it.

That's about all the funny Brit stuff I can think of.... Who the hell thought Ab Fab was funny?! Talk about terrible TV.

Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy

That one glorious book/movie earns them a pass for anything else they ever do in comedy. (Not the new crappy movie, the old one. Was a long mini-series on BBC or something. Actually, you know what, forget the movie, the books are a lot better)

Top Gear on BBC America SUCKS. They edit out 99% of the Anti-American stuff that Clarkson says. While it's not all true, it is pretty funny. Plus, they cut out some of the really cool cars.

The 2nd season is the most popular, but my absolute favorite is the 3rd. All the quirks and pokings at Enlightenment England and its history. Quite fantastic stuff. Especially the first episode with the government bit...

Pitt the Younger: I intend to put up my own brother as a candidate against you!
Blackadder: Oh... and which Pitt would this be? Pitt the Toddler? Pitt the Embryo? Pitt the Glint in the Milkman's Eye?

Plus, they cut out some of the really cool cars. They're going to make an American version called Gear. I think Adam Corolla has signed on as one of the hosts.

It won't be as good as the original but maybe we'll get to see some cars that don't make it to the UK.
