Alabama hit a 3 pointer with no time left on the clock and then a tornado tried to come down on the Ga. Dome.

ATLANTA -- A severe storm ripped two holes Friday in the side of the Georgia Dome during the Southeastern Conference tournament.

With Mississippi State leading Alabama 64-61 with 2:11 left in overtime, a loud blast was heard inside the dome. A section of the dome's roof was ripped open, dropping debris.

The National Weather Service had issued a tornado warning for the Atlanta area at 9:26 p.m. EDT Radar indicated a storm capable of producing a tornado located about six miles west of Atlanta.

It wasn't immediately known if a tornado struck the 16-year-old building, though a roaring noise was heard inside when the storm struck

CNN Center, Georgia Dome, and Philips arena all damaged. SEC tournament going on at Georgia dome, and Hawks playing a Philips arena.... A friend at CNN Center says all the windows are blown out, and the whole building shook...

Now there is another possible tornado headed right towards the Atlanta airport! This could be ugly!

I'd copy the text for you lazy bastards, but I'm sure the content will probably be changing rapidly throughout the night.

Are we sure it wasnt a Microburst??

WSB has one of those high zoot radars, and it is showing constant rotation on the ground. My buddy says light poles are twisted off at the ground, and the roof of the GA dome has been ripped open.

They are saying that the pressure dropped so low in the building that water and sewer pipes burst, and the building is being flooded....

Damn, that's scary. I feel sorry for the cameraman that was up on that catwalk. I'm surprised there's never been a major catastrophe at a sporting event, it's probably only a matter of time before it happens.

Start an flaming argument with the prof/TA and see how long it takes him to exert his power over you.

Since they're moving the games to the Georgia Tech campus, only family, cheerleaders, and the bands of each school will be allowed inside the arena.

Wow, I would be furious if I bought tickets and flew down there.

Don't worry, they got tickets to the aquarium. That's better, anyways.

From a guy who works there:

i've opened up every show with a joke.

"Who had tickets to the basketball game?"

[hands raise]

"Don't worry, they're going to let you exchange them for all the Falcons tickets you want."I'm surprised he's not dead yet.

Speaking of which, 42-13 at halftime is one hell of beatdown.

Unreal.
