This will effect everyone on the planet. Consider yourself warned! I know this probably belongs in DC but I want it to reach as many people as possible.

A good read, thanks for posting. More news than political debate, so I think main fourm is appropriate, but what do I know.

No kidding. Wheres it all going to end. Me and the wife just work the normal 8-5 jobs, and believe it or not, theres no rumor of a 25% raise this year.

In talking with many experts in the ag sector in the last few weeks I am very concerned. Many countries are putting tariffs on their commodity exports, basically trying to keep their food at home. If we have ANY type of a world wide crop production problem there is going to be havoc of historical proportions.

About time farmers started getting paid what they should for their crops.
Is there any chance of the Ethanol scam being reversed and farmers getting the same price of grain when used for food as they do when it is used to make fuel?

Isn't the consumer price for goods determined by supply and demand?

Gonna have the rancher who rents our pasture throw in a side of beef in the next contract....

It is still a heck of a deal for him given grain prices.

How do you like your Chicken Little, fried or baked?

Many new things will probably be making it to the family dinner table now.
