It was great...listening to his post-game comments....

Talked about Teahen going 1st to 3rd on a hit and run..said that may or may not of happened last year...said Bell sait back too much, said Bell managed like he had the Yankees roster expecting 250 hr's.

I welcome the attitude.

WTF? Did he really say that or are you just putting in your own commentary?

I see our high dollar free-agent acquisition earned his money. 0 for 5. I haven't seen anything out of Jose Guillen that I'm impressed with yet. I sure hope I'm proven wrong.

Hey, really nice win, though.

I hope he didn't call Bell a cancer on the team.

No he said just that. That is what blew me away. I have never heard a manager take a shot at another manager like that.

Yea nevermind the run he shot at home or the other one he kept from even trying to get shot. :shake:

Maybe thats why Bell had that sparkling .300 career winning percentage???

guillen threw a runner out at the plate, the game never would have gone into extra innings otherwise, detroit would have won. thye held up another runner after that too because of his arm and i dont think he ended up scoring. nobody tell me that emil brown would have done that. he would still be chasing the ball around as if it were his tail

I hold no grudges. We are in the Hillman Era. The sky is a bright blue.

Okay, a poster on a Royals board said Neal or Marty actually said this, not Hillman.

Maybe I misunderstood but I thought it was Hillman.

I liked the way he utilized the pen today. I know Tomko sucks ass, but since he won't be pitching for quite some time, a good choice to use him there, without burning a bullpen player.

Yeah, it also gets him some work since he'll be skipping his first start. I was cussing when they brought him in, but it ended up working out.

you do know he plays defense too, right?

and you also know that one game out of 162 is a little early to be complaining, right?

I can't believe people are selling Guillen down the road after one game. The same way people are saying Tomko is going to be good. Bottom line, you can't even begin to pass judgement right now.

Top 10 play of the day on ESPN. I think he was #5 with his throw out at the plate.

Gordon was #2 with his 11th inning diving nab at 3rd. Good opening day for A.G.
