The Miami Dolphins finally resolved the lingering status of Jason Taylor today, by trading him to the San Francisco 49ers for a first and third round pick. The picks (29th and 70th overall) give the Dolphins a smattering of picks in this year's draft. Miami's new Executive Vice President of Football Operations, Bill Parcells, now owns the 1st, 29th, 32nd, 58th, 64th and 70th picks of the NFL draft.

What's more amazing is the number of people that FALL FOR THEM

If there's even anything questionable and you know it's April 1st, is it that hard to put together?

NFL Quick Hits

A heated debate exploded at the annual NFL owners meetings on Monday. The argument was said to involve the potential new rule that would ban long hair on players. Some owners endorse the rule to have players maintain a certain hair length while other owners, who are "anti-bald," want to make it a rule that every player must have hair at least two inches in length. No word from Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck regarding his thoughts on the issue.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell knows an opportunity when he sees one. In a surprising announcement on Monday, Goodell revealed plans for an all-female summer league that would be sponsored by the NFL and could see action as early as 2010. The NFL started investigating the possibility of an all female league after assessing the mass disappointment in the cancellation of this year's Lingerie Bowl. The league would open with eight teams and would be played indoors much like Arena Football. The NFL already has a tentative television deal in place with ESPN, who plans to air the majority of the games on ESPN 8 - The Ocho. The remainder of the games may air during primetime on The CW.

Owners will vote on a new rule that would move the perfunctory extra-point kick to the 35-yard line. Owners seem to feel that the extra-point is simply too easy with the current rules and that this change would make the game more exciting.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus plans to address the NFL board to clear the air on the 49ers tampering case. According to a private interview with the Chicago Examiner, Rosenhaus' testimony is said to be so overwhelmingly in favor of the 49ers that they may be given the Bear's first round draft picks for the remainder of the decade. Goodell plans to fine Rosenhaus a third round draft pick for his statements.
