Just noticed the notice on the main page for Draft weekend.

NOTICE: The weekend of the draft the BB is restricted to logged in "regular" users. People that never clicked the link in their confirmation email when they registered are also blocked. The Chat link is open to anyone during the game.

I was just wondering if I was 'regular' enough... I eat lots of metamucil.

I think they changed it such that your join date has to be no later than August 2000. Tough luck n00b.

Anybody under 10000 posts aren't allowed.

I predict most of us will miss the implosion, as the server will crash 2 seconds after the pick is announced.....

You think it will make it all the way to the pick?

2 seconds before the pick everyone is going to post "REACH".

Daily dosage of sugar-free Metamucil before bedtime.

ROFL

Actually, the server will probably crash when Jake Long is picked ahead of us....

I consider myself a regular. I only have a measly 1,134 posts, but have been a member since April of '01 before the Trent Green trade. Why can't I come out and play?

I'll actually be interested to see how the server performs under its first real challenge. I'm cautiously optimistic.

April 2001 was a very good class.

For what it's worth, I'm about pretty sure that you only need 30 or so posts to become a "regular" user. I could be wrong though.

Well, considering how shitty this place has been running this week, I'm not at all optimistic.

WTF is going on, anyway?

I know I'm not the only one who has noticed that pages are taking a ridiculous amount of time to load sometimes.

Mine take forever. Today it took 5 minutes to get into the lounge.

Frankly, I am not sure it was worth the wait :)

I don't know for sure. However, I am sure that every time someone uses the search function, the Planet basically locks up until the search completes (up to a minute or two). My guess is that, if we were to disable to search feature entirely, most of the slowdowns would go away.

You are considered "regular" when you poop once a day, so - stands to reason you need to average 10 post/day to be regular, otherwise just increase your fiber intake....

Funny you should say that. I was thinking the same thing. I was searching and at the same time looking at threads on another tab. Site went slow until the search was complete.

You are a regular user. It is number of posts and time both.

On a side note, I just realized yesterday that I have a f#cking final on the first day of the draft. I am going to miss KC's pick and most of the 1st round.
