Where is Jackson projected to go? He wouldn't be a bad addition to the DL/DE rotation.

Seems the Chiefs may have been at FB Jerome Felton projected as a 6th-7th round pick.

I've seen some mocks that have him going in the late first. I would think 2nd/3rd is more likely.

Front page of Draft Central on ESPN.com:

"Are Sedrick Ellis, Keith Rivers, and Lawrence Jackson all first-rounders?"

quick and nasty. But may be an injury risk. Has had two surgeries since his freshman year. He is too light for an interior lineman. He was great as an end, but when they moved to some 3-4 play, he didn't receive nearly as many accolades, because he didn't have the size to get penetration or stuff the run. But if we WOULD draft him, he would be good at DE.

He would be a good pick in the second if he is there, but only if Dorsey and Ellis are gone before our pick in the first. IMO

He's projected as a 2nd or 3rd rounder:

Strengths:
Has good size and bulk with long arms...Was super productive...Is quick and plays faster than he times...Strong and powerful...Stout and the point of attack and he holds his ground against the run...Instinctive...Technically sound...Uses his hands well...Offers some versatility...Has a ton of experience versus premier competition.

Weaknesses:
Very inconsistent...Does not have very good timed speed...He's not real explosive and lacks a burst...Repertoire of pass rush moves is unimpressive...Motor runs hot and cold...Won't scare anyone off the edge...Has some health/durability concerns.

Notes:
His brother, Keith, was an offensive tackle at Arizona...Was a four-year starter in the Pac-10...Has been bothered by ankle injuries throughout college...A solid but unspectacular base end with a nice, well-rounded game..He may never be an elite pass rusher in the pros but can be an adequate starter...Is not quite the prospect his press clippings would lead you to believe and might be a little overrated...Will play for a long time and could enjoy a pro career similar to that of Kenechi Udeze.

Whoever said these scouts talk in circles was dead on.

Positives: He's Great.

Negatives: He Sucks.

The Skinny: If he doesn't suck he'll be pretty good. If he's really good, he will not suck.

We may need some depth at DE but I don't think the need is nearly large enough to spend a 2nd rounder. Especially given these lukewarm reviews.

What about the OLine.

So they don't think Tank/Turk are gonna pan out, Wilkerson gone....

No matter what Tank/Turk do they are still going to need good young depth. They can't play every snap, no DL can.
