Wow....great timing by the folks at SI.

They Fooked us (by putting the football team on the cover right before the big 12 championship game).

Here's to the perpetuation of the jinx.....

He was on it a few weeks ago, too... I think if it wasn't for Favre's retirement or the baseball preview, he'd be on it every week.

Michael Jordan played baseball, so I guess Hansbrough can, too.

IF UNC loses, I think he could have a full arm-and-legs flailing (that is his specialty) tantrum meltdown at center court. It would be a Psycho Tantrum.

In my opinion, he's overmatched aganist anybody, literally. All he does is flop all over the place like a docked fish in dry land.

Tyler is a good player, his motor makes him . He has a good soft shot ( jump shots ) and toughness, willing to take a charge or whatever it takes. His floaters or running shotputs are horrible looking, but hey, they go in , most of the time.

Yeah, I've been saying that most of the season. He's probably the most awkward kid I've ever seen when he has the basketball. He missed a couple of easy shots tonight because he was too busy flailing his elbows into defenders to draw contact, and he made a couple, too.

Before the game I wondered if I'd gain respect for him during the game. Kind of like SIU or Davidson.. you hear they're good, but it's hard to believe until they almost beat your team.

So much for that... people say "he averages 20pts/10reb". He had 17/9 tonight, and looked like shit.

I think he's a good player, but can you believe the THREE charges they GAVE the Heels when they were down by 20 pts in the first half....MAYBE one of them, MAYBE....one, was legit.

But three? No Friggin' way..... :banghead:

They also say he doesn't take a possession off. Well maybe he doesn't, but there were a couple of sets where our bigs ran circles around him, confused him with motion, and made him a spectator. So maybe he's got heart, but he's an idiot.

Had they given Hansbrough the one at the 3 point line in the second half, my head would have exploded.

You know you're in trouble when your defense is relying on charges and a half-court press that leaves two players open on the opposite side of the court.

Self's adjustments >>>> Roy's adjustments

LMAO

Bob Knight had the best pregame analysis, IMO... he said Kansas needed to 1) make Hansbrough play defense, and 2) get him out from under the basket on offense. When I heard him say that, I thought.. is that all? He's freakin' Jesus H. Christ, and all we have to do is make him play at both ends and get him out from under the basket?

Well, he was right. Packer mentioned it during the game.. we went after him when we were on offense, and Hansbrough couldn't handle it. He got points in the paint, but that's all he could do on offense.

Freakin' Cole Aldrich, man! Cole Aldrich! As someone else said, Psycho C. :)

Cole makes me excited for the future.

Hansbrough is exactly what I thought he was. He's a hustle player who gets a ton of points at the line because the refs buy into his schtick and award him fouls for ridiculous flops and obvious attempts to draw contact. I still have no idea how he makes half the buckets he does because he shows very little fundamental skill when it comes to shooting around the basket, but he gets it done somehow...except tonight! For God's sake he THROWS the ball at the basket!

I LOVED that foul...Hansbrough was flailing wildly on rebounds and loose balls I replayed it and saw 3 instances where he could have/should have been called for throwing punches or elbows. When Mario put him on his @ss I was applauding loudly!!

QFT. At first, when Mario did it, I was furious. Aldrich had that blocked cleanly, and it was Mario's 2nd foul. Then they showed the replay, and I was OK with it.

It sure must suck getting punked by a guy half your size.

Heck, it's not even close. Beasley is in a whole different class than Hans-blow. Psycho T is a hard worker and classic over-achiever and has made the most of his lack of size and quickness. He will be a career bench warmer at best in the NBA whereas Beasley has ALL STAR written all over him. After seeing both 'em play I give even MORE props to Beasley.

My girlfriend and I were watching the game, and as she's never been much of a hoops fan, a lot of the lingo I spurt forth during games is foreign to her. After this dunk, she is now familiar with the term, "Posterized."

I'm surprised they didn't call a charge on that one. There have been a lot of BS charge calls all tournament. I got my ass chewed in HIGH SCHOOL for setting up to take a charge underneath the basket. I can't believe some of these ****stains do it. What is even more enfuriating is that some of those d-bag refs ACTUALLY CALL IT.

At least one of that dipshit's charge calls was within 2 feet of the rim last night.
