With the first overall pick in 2009:

http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2009matt.php

1. Kansas City Chiefs: Michael Oher, OT, Ole Miss
Even if the Chiefs selected Jake Long with the fifth pick in the 2008 Draft, they still take Michael Oher here and move Jake Long over to the right side. Oher just presents way too much value as an elite left tackle prospect. Oher committed to the 2008 Draft, then de-committed. Check out my blog - The Matt Draft Blog - for my thoughts on that decision. To learn more about Oher the person, I suggest you pick up "The Blind Side" by Michael Lewis. Great read.

I won't lie, the idea of Oher on the left side and Long on the right is enticing. :D

that would mean we wasted a top 5 pick and a shit ton of money on a RT...how does that make any sense?

I'm not saying it makes sense.

I'm saying it's enticing.

Well...we'd have a badass line, that's for sure...if LJ can't run behind that, it would be time for him to hang them up...

Wow, the 08 draft hasn't even happened yet and they are talking about 09 already. We are officially obsessed with football in this country :D

I'm kind of surprised that people already pegged us at the worst record for next year.

Im still holding my judgement untill I see Andre Smith. I think he could be better then Oher. He has huge potential.

Also its sad that we're pegged nr 1 when we play: "Jets, Fins, RaidersX2, Broncos, Falcons".

We're playing all but 1(rams) of the 6 worst teams in the league excluding ourselfs. If that schedule will still get us in last place we're gonna be putrid this year.

Not that I wouldn't want Oher, but I hope to christ we don't have the #1 pick in '09. That's putting us in Raiders territory, back-to-back 4-win seasons.

maybe we should go with ellis in rd 1, then address corner and wr in rounds 2 and 3 and then we can end up with that first pick and take Oher next year :)

Tyson Jackson is laughable as the No. 2 overall pick. That's too funny. Pass-rush? Jackson couldn't rush the passer to save his life.

does this mean we are going to win the SB this year?

Close, probably a home loss in the playoffs?
