Hmmm, I just bought this tv except mine is the 80U model instead of the 75U.

Of course I paid $1200 @ Best buy.......The 75's were just installed at the new O.P. (Other Place) restaruant just up the street from me so I actually went looking for that model but that was $1400 @ Best buy and the newer model was only $1200. Plus the resolution #'s were only 1:15,000 with the 75 and they are 1:1,000,000,000 with the 80.

VERY impressed with this TV though. If anyone is considering it, it is well worth the $

I just may have to buy this model to replace my 4 year old 48" projection I have in my man cave for watching football.

I'm in the market for a new tv and this website seems to have some good deals.

Has anyone actually purchased a tv from this site? If so, how did it go? I am kind of nervous about getting a tv shipped to me, it seems like it may get shaken quite a bit during the trip.

I bought a tv from Tiger Direct back in August. UPS put a big hole in the box. Luckily, Vizio packaged it very well and the tv was not damaged. Newegg is a good company. Their customer service is outstanding. I would have no problem ordering from them.

You do know that's a horseshit designation, right?

Companies can choose whatever bizarre metric they want to measure their own contrast ratio.

I have the 65" version of this TV. It's awesome. I have an older 42" Panasonic Plasma and continue to love it.
Panasonic makes the best plasmas behind Pioneer elite.

I was just going to say the same thing. Panasonic's 1:1,000,000 could be the same as Sony's 1:5,000.
