Do you rely on one particular weatherperson's forecast every time? Please read the linked article.

Someone's been keeping score! (http://freakonomics.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/04/21/how-valid-are-tv-weather-forecasts/?rss=true)

I'll never forget the time that Lezak and a friend of his sat down in the booth next to me for lunch one day. I actually heard Lezak say, "Looks like I got today's weather wrong". I had to fight the urge to blurt out, "That why I don't watch you!".

But eh, I'm glad someone finally did this.

It's going to snow 29 inches in 2 hours. Oh wait, it didn't even snow. Well, that's because.......because......because...I'm a dumb bitch.

I usually get mine from the "Net", meteorologists babble on to much about nothing.

depends
I hate the 50 percent chance of rain when it's raining

shouldn't it be 100

For the first three days of a forecast, looks like Gary actually IS more accurate. Gary's a hell of a meteorologist, and a hell of a nice guy.

Thompson is and always will be a joke.

IMHO

I'm more concerned with the amount of rain as opposed to 3-6 temperature difference.

Either way I think they all pretty much are the same category...as my father once put it. ...during the spring and fall months it's very difficult to predict the weather in the mid-west.

Personally I agree. If you watch you'll see that it doesn't matter what channel you watch, they all are wrong at some point.

Which one is closer? well, if you are THAT concerned about what channel has more accurate weather forecast maybe you should move somewhere beside good ol' mid west...the home of yesterday it was 70 degrees and sunny and now it's 20 degrees with 20 foot of snow on the ground.

Channel 4 says it's going to be 73 degrees tomorrow, channel says it's going to be 76 degrees tomorrow, and channel 9 says it's going to be 68 degrees tomorrow...guess what...it's going to be somewhere between 68 and 76 degrees.

get over it.

Gary Lezak's the man. He gets into his weather.

I like how he explains the weather so we can understand it better.
I've always been a fan of him.

I just check Metro weather before I leave for work to get "current" temp. I don't trust any of them...I'm capable of looking out the window for weather conditions.
