He's young, right?

From rotoworld:

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports Anquan Boldin has requested a trade.
Just another Drew Rosenhaus client looking for a trade to get a new contract. The Cardinals have reportedly informed Boldin that they will not deal him, but a team like Dallas, Washington, or Philadelphia might blow them away with a draft-day offer. Boldin won't get Larry Fitzgerald money, but he's due a raise. Apr. 22 - 7:15 pm et

Boldin wants out so he can get #1 money.

The #2 WR on that team has a 4 year $40,000,000 contract and Boldin is playing for something around 2MM. I can imagine that one might be a little torqued about that...

How about 2 third round draft picks?

How about 2 third round draft picks?

No interest in Boldin? The guy is a stud. Lined up with D Bowe? I'll be interested to see what kind of offers the Cards are willing to entertain.

Not for the money he will want. Plus, I don't care for his agent.

Boldin and Bowe would be beautiful...

We want to run a possession type of offense, with the threat of big play ability, well...Bowe and Boldin would be great for this offense. They can go deep and also take a 10 yard pass and go 80 yards.

I would love to have Boldin. I don't think the Cards are interested in trading him though. They'll find the money.

IF the right QB was throwing to him.

Brodie's bullets won't improve this offense. He needs to learn touch (among other things, like decision making).

I'm afraid that by the time the right QB is in place, Boldin would be 29 or 30.

Run, run, run, run, play action deep...TD.

I don't care if your QB is Richard Simmons, if you have two guys like Bowe and Boldin you can't just play 8 or 9 in the box and force the QB to beat you...

I agree. The more weapons the better off our offense is.

I've "heard" that Richard Simmons can't read the Tampa 2.

So the Chiefs would probably lose at least 7 games next year with him at the helm.

How is that? Boldin is a big, physical receiver, very similar to Dwayne Bowe.

Who, Richard Simmons?

You're probably right. I've heard he's asking for $28 million upfront and a 10 year supply of tights with zippers in the rear.

There's NO WAY Clark Hunt will meet those demands.

The zippers alone will cost HUNDREDS.

Unless you have someone throwing darts at the receivers :grr:

Boldin is a BEAST. He would be an amazing pickup. The only problem is that we still wouldn't have a speed receiver, but we could definitely pick one up in the draft.

TRADE for HIM! I would do it in a minute. Young and set at WR for the next 10 years.

Are you guys crazy? By the time we'll be (hopefully) ready to contend he'll be 30 or 31 and he has a serious injury history.

You expect Boldin to be a stud until he's 38 years old? :spock:

I agree that Boldin is good, but it will be at least 2 years before the Chiefs are contenders...if we are going to be a young up and coming team, then let's just do it and build through the draft. FA signings are not the answer IMO, they have cleaned house and started over, they won't sign a FA WR. ESPECIALLY for the money he will be looking for.

D. Jackson / App. State or James Hardy / Ind. (though he might have some character issues, can't deny he is talented.)

Boldin is nice, but he will want too much money... and the Chiefs won't be contenders in time.

ESPN reported that the Cards turned down a trade offer from the Redskins. I'd assume it was close to the offer the Skins made for Chad Johnson. If the Cards turned this down, their asking price is too rich for the Chiefs right now and not worth it.

the Cards need two stud WRs to make Leinart not look like a total retard

I think it's a couple of years early to start signing FAs or trading for anyone.

(Unless it's an offer they can't refuse.) :hmmm:

Build the core first, then take a look, IMO.
