What do you think about this scenario:
Miami- Jake Long
Rams- Glenn Dorsey
Chiefs- Chris Long
Faiders- Mcfadden
Atlanta- Ryan

Would it be possible the Chiefs would move up in front of Oakland to get Long if he's on the board. It would be a good deal for both us and Atlanta. Atlanta would still get their Qb in Ryan with the 5th pick. Cause there is no way Oakland is taking him. Or do you think they might draft him and the Chiefs draft Ryan then trade afterward?

Your talking jibberish, stay where we are and keep the picks we have and take the BPA.

I dont think theres anyway the Rams let Long past them.

They already have their DT's of the future so to speak in Clifton Ryan and Carriker.

And Leonard Little is getting older.

I don't think that a team with as many holes as the Chiefs have have any business trading up in the draft, unless you're talking about the mid to late rounds.

No, stay at 5 and take Gholston, Ellis or Ryan.

we would have to give up a pick. I would vote stay, keep the picks and let any teams wanting McFadden/Ryan/Long at our pick, come to us and offer us a pick. Either way we win, top flite at 5 or great prospect at 7/10, + more picks.

You have probably seen more of Gholston than any of us, wondering what your take is on him??

why give our picks away?

Golhston/Ellis or trade Baltimore for Ryan and a pick.

I guess it is a matter of opinion. I would much rather give away a 4th round pick to move up and get him if he's there. I think he is the best player in the draft and could be a staple for our franchise for years to come. I'm not sold that VG can play a down DE for us. And I think Long is much better than Ellis. All my opinion take it for what its worth, im at work and bored as hell.

yeah that would total counteract the positives of the ja trade, giving those picks away

exactly, I am happy with the position we are in, we have leverage either way. If we stay we get a top notch prospect, if we trade down a few spots with the teams clammering to get McFadden before the Jets we get more picks.

A 4th won't get us to #3. Even though a coin flip decided that fact, it is a 500 point difference between pick 3 and pick 5. It would take a 2nd rounder to get to 3.

Honestly, too much for us. We need those picks, let other teams come to us, we don't have anything to loose by staying put.

If it just took a 4th to move up, I'd consider it, but I doubt that that would get it done.

All this talk about Ellis, Long, and Gholston....did everyone forget about Dorsey? I would rather have Dorsey than the other three.

I think everyone assumes Dorsey will be gone.

Both STL and ATL covet him.

Or a team like the Saints may move up to get him.

It seems we are all assuming that Dorsey will be gone before #5.

I know I am.

Probably, but if we were to move up to #3 the only way I would do it is if the Lambs pass on Dorsey. He's the only player worth moving up for imo.

It would take all of our 3rds to move up.

If ATL takes Ryan and Oakland takes DMC it could happen, not likely but it could. Its going to be interesting to see what that coin flip could've gotten us.

I wouldn't even do it for Dorsey, who I think is the best player in this draft.

I think the diference between him and Ellis is marginal.

It's defenitley a possibility.....There will be other good player there. Just stay put and let them fall to us or wait for more trade offers.....We could get 14 picks total

Ellis's previous injuries and surgeries bother me. Long or Dorsey by a long shot.

There's zero point in trading up to #3 when we have a reasonable chance to get Long at #5.

Ellis's previous injuries and surgeries bother me. Long or Dorsey by a long shot.

Ellis missed 3 games in '06 due to injury.

He started in all 13 games in '05 and '07, so I don't see how his previous injuries are a concern.

There were more injury concerns for Dorsey coming into this draft season than for Ellis.

If the Chiefs trade up, the only honorable thing to do would be leave the country, a la Alec Baldwin.

I could actually see us trading a mid round to up from 17 to get one of the OT's, but not the trading up from the 5th.

I'd love to get Long, but I don't want to trade up to get him. The way things are shaping up one of the top prospects is going to fall to us, there isn't any need to make a move.
