View Full Version : NFL Draft Here's what I would do in the 1st:

Frankie

Scenario A:

#5- Chris Long (if available)

#17- I would target Otah (Albert and Clady will surely be gone by then). If Otah is gone, I would try to trade down and keep trading down (ala Jerry Jones) for additional picks. Then I would get Sam Baker or Carl Nicks at the position of worth.

Scenario B: (Chris Long, gone before 5)

#5- I would try to trade down a few spots for additional picks to where I could get either Clady or Albert without it being a reach.

#17- Hopefully Derrick Harvey (or maybe Calais Campbell)

Feedbacks please.

Perhaps if we trade down enough times we could wrap up the entire 7th round!!! What a coup that would be!!

Is everyone aware that Otah's feet are encased in concrete shoes?

"And in the 7th round Kansas City picks....everyone that's left."

Feedback: Horrid.

I never could have guessed that you'd be looking for a way, any way possible, to pick an offensive tackle, no matter how shitty they are.

We need a DT that can collapse the pocket. Sedrick Ellis or Dorsey. No need to trade down at #5. Someone will be there that we can use, whether it's Ellis, Dorsey, Long or Gholston.

I think you are spending entirely to much energy worrying over one position on a god awgul, suckass football team.

If you are dumb enough to read Frankies takes in the DC forum you're able to understand how he can be so wrong at the draft.

This begs the question.

What's that say about you?

Wheeling and dealing like that served Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson as I recal. Some of you think a trade down is only for the sake of a trade and not for a plan for improvement. Those of you who think that way think this idea is horried.

The idea of trading down isn't horrid, in and of itself.

It's the whole idea of trading down to target a player at a specific position.

OK, let me see. You must read them if this statement is an informed one, in which case, by your own argument you are dumb. Then again you could be making this statement having avoided my "takes," which, by everybody else's estimation, makes you dumb. :hmmm: Take your pick.

I do think we should address LT and now DE immediately. If in the process we end up with even more draft choices, it speaks to it being an astute strategy.

Why.

Will an OT and a DE magically transform this team into a SB contender?

Before you give the n00b, more encouragement, have you considered that he has not grasped the fact that I put a limit on how far down we trade? It should be obvious from the first post. At least to you, if not to him.

You asked for feedback. Don't whine because the feedback mostly consists of ROFL.

Frankie is all about the trade down. I can't believe he didn't start a thread demanding a trade down as soon as Parcells signed Jake Long.

The Chiefs just got rid of the biggest impact player on the defensive side of the ball. They should be trading up in an effort to get more of them.

This team has been drafting 15th to 21st so long, I don't want them bailing out on the chance to get an impact player.

Take the best player available, period. If it is McFadden, draft his ass and then crown him!

And for the record here's what I would do:
1-Draft Gholston
2-Draft Dorsey
3-Draft Ellis
4-Draft Ryan
5-Draft Long
6-Trade down if we could still land one of the above and get next years 1st from someone else as well.

Is anyone at all interested in Rodgers-Cromartie at 17?
