Because he is being treated for depression.

Don't you think the Chiefs should be all over him late in the draft or
early post draft Free-Agency?

I'd take him as a UDFA. But probably not for a draft pick.

It's bi-polar, and I would stay far away from him.

That's what I'm thinking. One of our 6s maybe. His malady could be controlled with medication, if so he's supposed to be top talent.

I believe someone Drafted him in our mock. He's worth it late in the 6th or the 7th.

His teammate Chase Ortiz is the better pick.

I know about Ortiz, go see my final mock.

If he's being treated for depression, I suspect that he's already been told that the Chiefs plan to draft him.

Doesn't he have social anxiety disorder and generalized depression? Those suck a lot, and I speak from experience, but they're still not as debilitating as bipolar disorder.

But shit, we've got thirteen draft picks. Taking a flyer on this guy wouldn't be the end of the world.

Bi-polar is one of the most easily treatable organic brain illnesses out there; why wouldn't you take him, especially since he is already diagnosed and presumably under treatment?

Are you kidding me? They may have medicine to treat it, but people with bi-polar are notorious about not taking it. Also, they are still extremely unpredictable.

I've had direct experience with people afflicted with bi-polar during my life and I wouldn't draft a player and give him so much money and responsibility if my job was on the line.

No, I'm not kidding you. And I'm speaking from personal experience.

Ricky would have been fine with SAD and Depression had he just stayed on Paxil.

If a guy has that much talent, something like this is no more of a concern than a knee injury. It's easily treatable and as long as your team docs see him and make sure he is on his meds, there's not much of an issue.
