Bannister allowed another run that inning, which was all Cleveland needed for a 2-0 victory. Those runs came an inning after Bannister got drilled in the shin by a line drive, an injury that severely affected his performance, he said. Bannister's latest performance came on the heels of his worst one of the season, a loss against Oakland in which he gave up five runs in five innings.

Rangers: Millwood, coming off a Friday start against the Twins in which he coughed up five runs in the first three innings, will be making his ninth career start against Kansas City. In the previous eight, the right-hander posted a 4-3 record with a 4.66 ERA, as Royals hitters have batted a collective .303 against him with four home runs in 46 1/3 innings.

Sounds to me like he didn't have his usual good control. His stuff isn't good enough to get by without it. He'll bounce back.
