Pic from the batcave. You can see pic of Baxter the Cat on the small CRT monitor. He hangs out with me when I'm workin'.

Hey, gblowfish. What's the deal with your K-State clock? I thought you were a Mizzou guy. Am I wrong?

I am a Mizzou Grad (BA 1981).
My wife is a KSU Grad (BS 1985).

It's her clock.

I do use a Mizzou mouse pad, to even out the mojo...

I gotta say, though if I used it daily I might get used to it, I am NOT a fan of that Mac KB. They have them in CS labs, and I'm constantly fumphering with them, their spacing is wonky [compared to what I'm used to].

I had that same issue too. But I've found it to be a lot better, actually. It's not as cramped feeling like i get when I go on campus.

looks precariously placed to me.

all you'd need is some pressure on those cables and that boy is gonna fly south f*cking both it and your monitor. you've probably got it sorted though.

Funny, I thought about that too. My old G3 sat in that spot just fine, but the new tower is heavier. I'll probably squirrel some of that stuff around to get the tower flat on the desk. Don't want a Hyatt Ballroom type catastrophe in the batcave.

Thought I'd post a pic of my rig, the case isn't anything flashy, but it houses a Q6600, 2Gb Ram, about a Tb in hard drive space, a HDTV tuner, and a 9600 GTS video card.

The Bluetooth KB and Mouse [and it's extended functionality for BT Phone, headset and headphones], is sweetness personified.

With the Quad Core and the SATA Burner, I can pump out a DVD in 20 minutes, tops.

I finally got my Mackie reference monitors in. The company I work for sells Mackie (as well as lots of other AV Stuff) and they were on back order for three months. They're MR5s, which are powered reference monitors, and are great for doing audio editing. You can read about them here:

I've also added a 750gb 7200 rpm Hitachi drive. Been editing a bunch of religious and medical programs for work, this system kicks major ass.

Very happy with the Mackie speakers. Great bang for the buck.

And rounded it out with the clearance particle board 'puter desk suite from Wal-Mart.

I'm not a fan of the "heavy metal" KB either.

I just bought a new 24" iMac this weekend. Educational discount + Missouri sales tax holiday = great savings! 3.06 ghz, 4 gb RAM, Nvidia 8800 GS. Runs WoW like a champ. All settings maxed and I still get about 80 FPS in Shatt.

Plus, I ended up getting a 16gb iPod Touch for $100.
